I saw Jacob posting about replacent light strips for the FTW3 card with different solid colors, is the default one rainbow only or can it be programmed to a solid color through the software?

It wasn't replacement light strips from the post, but rather showing the different RGB settings. The side pieces will have replacements made available in different colors.

I would think so but one of them was a chrome color

The rainbow can be solid colors too. It’s just RGB LEDs.
What has been discussed as being replaced are the red lips at the ends of the cards. That’s just a piece of plastic but it might be molded into the shroud plastic. Don’t know for certain on that but it’s the red lips, not the LEDs. The LEDs can be any color under program control. They show it as a rainbow in photos but other photos show it as solid colors too.

You can set it to solid colors as well, and in my opinion looks amazing. Jacob shared some pictures of it set to solid on Twitter, if you want to take a look for yourself.

Jacob confirmed the chrome/silver is RGB being turned Off. The others were solid color RGB turned on. The difference is quite good and glad to have good options on it.

The 2000 series lets you color code temperatures too. I’d bet the 3000 series does that too and more.
