I do not think the powerlink works with any of the 3080/3070 cards but I might just be thinking of the FTW3 3080 which uses 3 power connectors.

It may work on models that are still only using 2 x 8 pin pci-e power cables to power the GPU but if you're using one of the newer gpus that are using 3 x 8 pin pci-e power cables (like me) the power link won't work. I had to retire the one I was using with me 2080 ti.

I'm sure EVGA will eventually release a new Powerlink that is compatible with the newer cards.

    Current Setup:
    Z390 Aorus Master
    9900KS @ 5 ghz all core
    EVGA 3080 ftw3 Ultra
32 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 mhz
Samsung 970 Pro NVME SSD 512 gb OS
    Samsung 970 Plus NVME SSD 1 tb x 2
Crucial MX500 2 tb SATA SSD
    Corsair 850hxi PSU
Corsair Obsidian 500D RGB SE Case

Anyways to answer my own question, I managed to snag a EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra and no the powerlink does not fit. However it WOULD fit if the card had only one 8 pin power link...
Until they do eventually release one for the 3000 series, does anyone know of any type of alternative? also what about cable extensions? My PSU 750 B2 has horrible looking puke yellow wires coming out of the sleave of the pcie cable.
I got it at CC, with tax, and recycling fee, ect Cost $940 Canadian...So I do not want to risk any chance of somehow turning it into a brick.

Would of posted earlier but just now got my gpu. I too would like to inquire info on an alternative until evga makes one. There's no reviews on adapters that might work online and I'm not going to risk bricking mine. Seems like it could be made though, if one were so inclined.

it will fit on the XC3 HC cards which do not have the overly long air cooler extending past the PCB.

but even still I would NOT use it on 30-seriers. I had issues with one on a 250W 2080Ti, no way on a 320+W 3080/Ti/90

I got a pair of powerlinks, brand new, from a friendo of mine, and I have a 3070 TI on the way. That being said, my 1070 will have one powerlink, does anyone know if the unit supports the RX 570?
I'll just give it to my dad, he has a 1660ti

They were made just for EVGA cards, so it will not fit.

I managed to modify a Power Link to work with my RTX 3060ti. The internal rails are long enough to allow the connectors to extend past the casing. With a small enough file, and a little bit of patience, the PowerLink can be modified to work with the 30 series cards. Just know that any modification will void the manufacturer's warranty
