As per the Gamer's Nexus video, while EVGA made a few review samples of 4000 cards they have not and will not be making consumer cards. So while there inevitably will be the extremely rare EVGA 4000 cards floating around ebay it won't mean anything.

It’s true news. Any pictures of any EVGA 4000 series cards are photoshop or perhaps an engineering sample for a cancelled product. No cards are going into production.

Apparently the profit margin was so small on their GPUs (due to the stranglehold of Nvidia's NPP and Nvidia competing with their board partners) that something like 80 to 90% of EVGA's profits came from non-GPU sales, even though something like 80% of their gross sales came from GPUs.

Sounds like they'll continue to make motherboards, PSUs, and other peripherals.

What I don’t understand is if the margins were so small why were they giving people 3 percent to people who had their associates code used and 3 percent to the people using them.
Between the people hawking theirs codes on this forum and redit Facebook and other forums it had to be millions of dollars
It was at least 6 percent. That’s a lot on very thin margins huh.

associates code = marketing expense .... did that experiment help EVGA (better margin, than selling to channel partners?) ... I have No idea

3% profit would be after all expenses

I had a conversation with EVGA back in 2021 about just dropping the 3% back to the associate...suggesting that the discount to the customer using the code was enough to support the community and that top associates could, instead, be put into a quarterly drawing for a free item or given a shoutout in the forums. The idea of pulling 8% from their bottom line (remember when it was a 5% discount and 3% to the associate) seemed entirely too rich.

(Honestly, had I known that there would be a cash-out opportunity, I probably wouldn't have suggested they revise the program. With this past week's news, the end of the program is making a bit more sense (Query how much NVIDIA had to beg EVGA to embargo the news until a day or so before NVIDIA was ready to drop the 40 series announcement.)).
