A picture shared in a QQ group and posted by @9550pro confirms that Intel Raptor Lake Refresh is already being sent to reviewers. This indicates that Intel is granting media outlets and influencers more than two weeks to prepare their in-depth coverage. Additionally, this moment signifies the point at which they are no longer allowed to discuss the series in public, as the review embargo takes effect.

The shared picture showcases the Core i9 box, which prominently displays the 14th Gen series label. As we are aware, the forthcoming Raptor Lake Refresh will be the final generation of client products to bear the “i” branding, as the company progresses with their Core 3/5/7/9 Ultra branding for Meteor Lake and, in the future, for Arrow Lake chips.
It appears that Intel made no major changes to the packaging design for the last generation of LGA1700 desktop CPUs. From this angle is also not clear if the box features the plastic wafer, like the 13900K box did.

The upcoming launch, scheduled for October 17th, will feature only six SKUs, with the Core i9 models appearing as the 14900K and 14900KF. These represent the new 24-core desktop CPU (comprising 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores), rumored to deliver clock speeds of up to 6.0 GHz right out of the box.
As previously mentioned, Intel will lift the ‘ad embargo’ on October 16th and the ‘sales and review embargo’ on October 17th. Notably, the company did not make any public announcements regarding the 14th Gen Core series at its Innovation event earlier this month. Instead, they presented a ‘demo’ featuring such a processor, but details such as specifications, pricing, and the release date were not disclosed during the event.

There is not long to wait now.

It's always good when reviewers are given plenty of time to really look at the chips but I wish the review date was set to the 16th so people could read reviews from multiple sources before ordering the next day. That said at least reviews will be available on the 17th and won't take too long to read the most popular sources that you trust.
