Hey, was wondering if anyone could help me out getting my pc to run with this new gpu. I had a 1080ti took it out then time passed and I needed a new cmos battery. I can turn my pc on and the fans and lights work without the gpu but after putting it in nothing runs. power is working because trying to update the bios the usb gets power. any ideas of what to do next?

    A) you really need to list your entire system specs .
    B) Then tell us if it was all working right before you swapped out cards.
    C) then every step you have done to troubleshoot it so far.

It could be as simple as the wrong input selected on your monitor or output from the motherboard BIOS ...

    AMD RYZEN 7 3700X 8-Core 3.6 GHz - MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI - Nvidia Geforce rtx 2070 super (evga) - Vengeance LPX 2 x 8GB + 2 x 4GB RAM DDR4 - 5 corsair fans - diy pc case - Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 850W Smart Zero Fan SLI/CrossFire Ready. previously had an msi geforce 1080ti.

I was running my gpu and gaming then took the 1080ti out to sell it. I have turned the computer on without the gpu several times but without the gpu there was no display. I recently tried to put in the 2070 super and nothing turned on. My brother had this exact gpu in his pc working last week. I replaced the cmos battery on my motherboard and confirmed it will turn on with the gpu out still. I put new bios on use and tried to flash my motherboard. it still won't turn on with the gpu in the pc. it feels like the left side of the chip won't go in far enough to the mother board but the clip holds on fine the right side of the input chip.

ok, if the card was working in another system - then it must be something you're not doing properly.
Either not seating the card into the Pcie all the way, or not putting all the power plugs into the card, ...
