Hi All

Got my new system up and running ( kinda )

I have the following

"Microsoft Windows 10 Professional, w/ Creators Update, 32/64-bit, English International, USB Pendrive" ( FQC-10070 )

When i have UEFI enabled i can not boot from the USB Key. They usb key came direct of MS and has a efi boot manager but i can not get the pc to boot from it

EFI enabled CMS disabled

I can boot from and install from it if i use legacy. I want to use EFI so i can take advantage of the intel optane m2 i have installed on my main board.

Any ideas

PS i do not have a DVD drive because we no longer live in the stone age.

Your choices are Legacy or UEFI. M.2 should work with Legacy enabled

    Try this...

    #1 Boot into the bios.
#2 Save and exit the bios.
#3 Spam ESC or F7 until the quick boot menu pops up.
#4 Select the usb key to boot from.

Optane only works under EFI and GPT.

Anyway I bit the bullet and installed in legacy. Used Rufus to create a EFI bootable usb key using an old one I had lying around. Copied the 64bit install files over and then reinstalled windows from that.

    All works fine now.
