So it would seem that in the case of MY personal system, the latest Intel RST Win10 x64 driver that is on the the EVGA support page for the Z270 Classified K (Dated 6/10/2017) causes my PC to freeze during large downloads (Steam, Origin, ETC).

I do run a RAID0 array so it is possible that it only affects certain setups. I have re-produced the problem multiple times and whether on a fresh install or update or different stripe sizes (16Kb, 64Kb, 128Kb), the result is the same. The issue is not present with the built in Intel SATA/RAID driver or the driver on EVGA's support page from January 2017.

Just a heads up to anyone else who may be experiencing a similiar issue.

Interesting, I had put an update in a week or so before i left, and it was from Intels site originally.  Do you get any errors, has event viewer had any useful info?

Still happening?  Anyone else have this issue?

I did not pull any event logs etc...was just able to reproduce the the issue when using the driver in question time and time again. Possible that, Like I said earlier, it is only an issue on a particular setup. In my case, I could install driver, reboot, launch Steam or Origin, begin to download a huge game and within 5 minutes it would happen.
