The screen was originally built for a few AMD events and was initially used at their L.A. launch event for the Radeon 6870 showcasing Eyefinity. AMD next used the screen for CES 2011. It's evolved a bit over time and flip-flopped AMD/Nvidia/AMD/Nvidia on hardware a few different times. Always been Optoma projectors though. Originally Optoma EX525ST, shifted to Optoma GT700 for the Radeon 6870 launch and Optoma GT720 for CES 2011, then Optoma ZW212ST with the museum installation and in 2015 Optoma GT1080 (thanks to Optoma sponsorship). Was installed in the Kansas Aviation Museum from 2012-2015. Pulled it from there and setup it up in my shop again for some gaming goodness. The setup has a lot of fun history.

Great looking screen / setup When do you plan on putting it on a hydraulics platform, to create the best flight sim ever in a persons home ? One can only imagine how tricky it is to get the three projectors in the sweet spot.

One can only imagine how tricky it is to get the three projectors in the sweet spot.
No need for a "sweet spot" for the projectors. You get them in the ballpark and use consumer warp-blend software to calibrate it. I'm product manager for the original consumer warp-blend utility product line. It's been out since 2007. I keep work separate from my play, so not going to mention product by name on the forums.  Basically, any title that works with AMD Eyefinity or Nvidia Surround I can and do play on this crazy thing.

 A little bit of Black Friday update in the rig. Swapped out a malfunctioning Cooler Master Eisberg 240 AIO for an EVGA CLC 280 AIO. Used a simple 120 -> 140 fan mount adapter to get the rad mounted in the HAF 932 top. That Cooler Master Eisberg was thoroughly thrashed and needed gone a year ago. Not sure what metals they used in the loop but it had copper particulate floating all around in it, the pump bearing was acting like it was dying. Eisberg 240 was 50C idle when I pulled it today while the CLC 280 is sitting at 33C. I'm convinced the pump was probably seized up dead in the Eisberg. Good to have something that works now. I'm rather no nonsense function over form in my rig builds. Rather minimalist. More interested in what it does than how it looks.
