So how much weight have you lost so far as well as your mental health? I would assume you feel like your on a starvation. Also are you doing any cardio on top of this? I hope you did some before measurements to keep track of your progress besides from the number on the scale.

Unfortunately, I didnt take measurements, but Ive lost 2 belt notches (comfotably).

My face has significantly slimmed down.

I did take before pics though. When im done, ill post before and after pics!

Also, I feel great!

Re: I'm starting Whole 30 2017/02/16 20:59:24 (permalink)
The first 10 to 12 pounds is always the easiest and the hardest part of it is just getting started on your "journey". After a while you will hit that brick wall and it will be harder to loose weight than before, since your body will of shed most of the nasty pounds of fat. Of course you will still be able to loose the weight but you will need to kick it into higher gear and take it to the next level. By the way are you exercising at all? If not its going to take longer to loose the weight especially when you hit that brick wall.

Ok your 11 days in so its not too late to take measurements now. Also you dont have to take detail measurements if you dont want too.  I did but I did not list them all such as my biceps, forearms, wrist, and hips. They are not as important as body fat %, waist size, and neck size and number on the scale. I also paid attention to my blood pressure and beats per minute at rest through my weight loss. Unfortunately I did not get any before and afters of my cholesterol readings and to see if I had any vitamin deficiencies. Did not want to go pay for it. VERY sure that I do not have any kind of vitamin deficiency. Well just keep us updated bud and keep at it for the long run.

All it takes is 7 minutes of "Intense" exercise a day to kick it into high gear. No weights or gym membership required.

I did the math last night - and yesterday was actually my 30 days!

Here are the befores and afters

I lost 12 pounds
I lost 3 belt sizes.  Clothes fit COMPLETELY different.  I feel great.  I do wish I would have done exact measurements, but I feel like I lost AT LEAST 5 inches in my abdominal region.  Also, I want to add that in all my pictures, my stomach was totally relaxed.  I didn't try to push out my stomach in the before pics - lol

hahahah its amazing what sugar does to your body

I just came back from a late lunch. Had me a gyro with fries and a Dr. Pepper. I'm in a food coma and needless to say my work productivity for the remainder of the afternoon lies somewhere between zero and couldn't care less.

I love sugar.. I cant hide that fact, and consume it all the time. I need to do something like this and get away from it though.

Now that you have finished, you can definitely see the difference. Keep going, dont let this be the end of it.

Ive never done those fad diets, just lots of walking, outdoors, a balanced screen time, and just count you cals, and sugars.
When i hurt my back, back in 2011, doc said loose some weight, less soda,  get active and you wont hurt so bad, its taken me a few years but went from 290lbs to current 190, 40inch waste to 34inch waste.

NICE!!! Keep it up Vegeta I am rooting for you! Again if you want any help advice I am willing to chime in. As shown and stated before, losing weight is nothing new to me.

I just did one of these body read out test today. Take note that this is late in the day hence the time stamp as you can see. So therefore my weight and body fat percentage is a little off due to the 4 big meals I ate and all the water I drank today. The best time to do a test like this is after you wake up and do your morning bowel movement to get a more accurate reading. So it says I am 149 pounds but this morning I weighed myself and it said 146.2 pounds. Also the test says I am 14.2% body fat but in reality I am either 10.8% or 11% body fat based on morning measurement tests. Hey I am impressed with myself though that it says I am 128 pounds of lean body mass and I only have 21 pounds of body fat. Well that 21 pounds also includes the weight of your organs.

So how is your progress going so far? I hope you haven't quit on yourself. Are there improvements with your physical transformation? Besides that have you noticed any other improvements like better sleep, reduced blood pressure/heart beats per min, reduced pain of some sort that you might be dealing with, better skin/hair/teeth, did the way you smell change when you sweat(I personally noticed that with transofrmation), digestion patterns change, and your mental health? Yeah I know thats a lot of questions but people will be amazed how very so so much will change with yourself when you improve on health by changing your diet and life style.

Now I am down 16 pounds since starting.  I have lost tons around my waist, hips and butt.  I feel incredible.  My resting heart rate is now in the low 50's.  My blood pressure was around 150/100, now its around 129/90.

My sweat used to smell really bad, but now it almost has no smell to it at all.

I definitely sleep WAY better.  I don't even have to try to sleep - I just fall asleep effortlessly.

I am still eating whole 30is - except now I incorporate a small amount of cheese into my diet.

Cauliflower Pizza is AMAZING! :D

OH YEAH - I am also able to workout pretty hard again.  I'm 2 weeks into my insanity program

That's good to read! Just remember patience and consistency is key. Fitness is a marathon not a sprint. Just keep at it, because when you look back at what you did with all that hard work, dedication and sweat that was put into it. Your going to say and feel how awesome you are.

Re: I'm starting Whole 30 2017/04/11 12:35:59 (permalink)
I've been on a chicken and rice with broccoli diet for awhile now, around 8 ounces and 1.5 cups of brown rice and a cup of broccoli 2x a day. Along with a high cal breakfast of around 1k cals, it includes oatmeal, whey, and greek yogurt, some milk and banana. As well as a dinner meal which is never planned and also two protein shakes, one whey protein shake after my two hour lifting session, and one casein shake before I go to bed. Ya its a lot of liquid but it works. I'm getting pretty shredded now, only at 160lbs but around 8% body fat after multiple tests its what I can get the median out of. Pretty good for a 17 year old. I wish you the best man. Sometimes I get to the gym in the mornings around 4:45am, and then go again later in the day. Ya its too much, I could probably be getting better results if I didnt go so much and got more sleep I typically only get 3-6 hours of sleep weeknights. I wish you luck, just wanted to share.

Started back in 2010 by eliminating sugars and grains. Down almost 150 lbs now with 90% nutrition focus. You can do it. Good luck.

only diet that seems to be working for me is simple good old calorie counting, while cutting out any extra sugars etc so no chocolate and only sugar free drinks etc.

I've been eating the same as I always have for the last month, but I cut out alcohol completely and only drink water and coffee.  It's surprising at how much a couple beers per night can add up, and what can be changed by taking them out of the diet.

Yeah, alchahol, fizzy drinks, hell even fruit juice contain a crazy amount of calories, and it's not that hard to cut them out, well once your body gets over craving the sugar it's used to anyway.

I've gone through an entire belt.  I started on the, "I can barely get the first notch" to going all the way through it.  I need a smaller belt.

This pic shows where I was (on the belt) before I started!

Edit: I have also lost 28 lbs now too! =)
