Time for a new build ! The previous one took place back in 2013...but is still going strong.
Parts are slowly being sourced, but I thought I'd post everything from the beginning, so this build may take some time !
Sourced components :
Motherboard : EVGA X299 Dark                              July
Ext. DVD      : USB 3.0                                             July
CPU             : Intel i9-7900X                                    August
PSU             : Corsair HXi 1000W                            August
SSD's          : Samsung 970 EVO NVMe 500Gb     August
Samsung 970 EVO NVMe 250GB    August
Antikink coils : Primochill Blue                                 August
Front fans    :  2X Enermax T.B Quad 18cm           August

In addition, I have a 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA6 spinner disk that will be moved from old build.

Further plans :
Case,  TT Level 20XT
Additional rear exhaust fan, Noctua NF-A14x25 PWM (the case already has 1)
CPU-cooling, EKWB kit, probably the X360
Graphics card, probably a EVGA 1080 Ti Hybrid with 2X Noctua NF-A12X25 fans.
RAM, a G.skill quad set, most likely a Trident Z  F4-3200C14Q-32GTZSW
Backup, a 1TB SSD SATA disk, brand undetermined as of yet
OS, Win 10 Pro x64

Well, that's it for now. I'm sure I have forgotten something, but will add stuff as I go along.
Comments, ideas and suggestions are welcomed !

Ah, yes...the Corsair HXi 1000 has some seriously ugly cables.
Those just scream to be replaced with individually sleeved custom cables, so that is also on my list of components to source.
Just not sure if I should buy a full length set (with possibly some twists and turns), or an extension set ?

Sounds like a very nice build coming. Keep us updated when you can. I like the case, should be  a great foundation.

Tnx, notfordman. I'll update when there is developement, and photos will be posted when there is something to see.
As mentioned, I'm not in a great hurry, spacing the expenses out a bit to fool myself into thinking that it will be cheaper that way, haha..
But at least I can then take advantage of special offers, which has already saved me some money. But Black Friday is still a long way off...:-(

The case should at least look nice. Hoping to see some reviews of it soon, as I have my doubts when it comes to airflow.
Was originally planning to get a TT Core X9 when the Level 20 came along, and dragging my heels a bit about the final desicion.

Extension sets might be cheaper but it is best to look around.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Yup, extension sets may be cheaper, but I'm willing to pay to get top quality, whatever lengths I choose in the end. Best thing might be to get the case home first, should make it easier to see what lengths I actually need. With a horizontal motherboard tray and the PSU to the back of the case, not all cables will be very visible. Most visible will the 24-pin and the 8-pins for the graphic card(s). I have found of couple of sources that seem to have a good reputation...from there it is a question of whether they have "my" colors.. ;-)
