Hey guys,

I´m currently in the process of building my first gaming computer. I already have a I5-7600k and a Asus Z270 Prime-A motherboard but now I have to decide which gpu I want to get for my system. Originally, I wanted to get a GTX1080 but it turns out that I fell in love with the GTX1080Ti. The question I have right now is if the I5 is too much of a bottleneck for a GTX1080Ti? I won´t use the computer for productivity. It will be just for gaming.

Thanks in advance.

And I have one more question. Is there a huge difference between the EVGA GTX1080Ti variants?

    No huge difference.
Some models come with a better cooler
    Have RGB
Will change lighting colors based on temperature
    Different factory overclock

Real world performance, you couldn't tell the difference between a Stock GTX 1080Ti vs GTX 1080Ti FTW3.

Take a look, with time, in this video.

For what i saw, at 1080p you'll have a bottleneck, but for 1440p/4K (what a 1080Ti is meant to be used actually) you should be okay in most of the time (few games might have bottleneck).

That is exactly correct, I run a GTX 1080 TI SC2 with a i5-4670k @ 4.2 GHz. The only place where I will see "lower" performance is in benchmarks where higher end CPUs will get better Physics scores. That said I game exclusively at 4K (UHD realistically) and the CPU is never a bottleneck. At resolutions less than about 1440p, it will be.

Thank you so much for your help. I'll probably buy a GTX1080Ti FTW3. It's such a beautiful card. :D
