still waiting for a vbios that can push the power limit to 130%. Do you guys think it will come out eventually?

AFAIK, they've said they won't do that to non XC or non 'A' chips.  It basically comes down to lottery like the rest of them.  I've seen some great clocks on these blacks across the boards.  If you're liquid cooling via AIO or custom, you have a decent chance to get those clocks up but again for gaming, all of that doesn't really matter other than for benchmarking but those won't last long either.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

...an RTX2080-Ti for just $999 ROCKS!

Nnnnooooo...No, a 2080 Ti for $1000 most certainly does not "rock".

It is however less painful than $1,100, or $1,250, or $15,000.

ok, a free one ROCKS!

Hey guys just checking in , just received my 2080ti black edition and it’s running at 1995MHz at 70c with a custom fan curve. It doesn’t seem loud at all. I use a semi open back headset. Good luck friends

Can you post a picture of your fan curve? I just ordered one of these and I am curious. I may get the hybrid kit.

Got my step-up 'RTX 2080 XC Black' today and saw the price came back down!
Posting the 2080 on ebay now....and waiting for the 2080ti black to be in stock, hope it's not another two months...

Just wanted to share what a great card this has turned out to be. Picked one up @ microcenter for $999 and put an EKWB on it in my custom loop.

Memory benches as high as +1200, running +950 24/7
Core benches as high as 2100Mhz, running ~2070Mhz 24/7 (+215).

Here is one of my bench runs: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/6357702

In all I am very pleased, as I have been with every eVGA product.

i79 9900K 5Ghz - Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Master - 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200Mhz - eVGA RTX 20800 Ti Black Edition +215/+950 - 1.5TB NVME Samsung 960 Evo/WD Black - RM1000W PSU - 810W UPS - Dell U3415W - Custom Loop Watercooling

if ur rig is about 3.5 to 4.5 years old, and it was top notch at the time it was built, then get a 2080-ti vid card card 1st.

Edit: oops. i thought u asked whether to buy a 2080-ti or build a new rig.

Yeah--my 4770K system has just hit five years and I have no plans to build any time soon. Per-core performance has not increased drastically in over five years. If I were targeting very high framerates on the latest games it would be different, but at 4K 60 fps there is just no gaming-related reason for me to upgrade now.

Mine got stuck at 1350 MHz.

I ordered it on the 8th from EVGA. I finally got the fan curve and temps the way I wanted them, sold my 1080ti, and then this happened. For what it's worth, I was running it at around 1950 MHz, with 7700 MHz on the memory with no problems up until this.

Got my black 10 days ago. Using MSI afterburner adds +185mhz core and +500mhz vram, fan sit 65%. It can stay over +1900mhz all the time, sometimes, it can be reached around 2040mhz. I can increase more parameters, but need to increase fans usage at least 75% for cooling that is too loud. GPU max temp is not over 72C, most of time stays between 60c and 69c.

You can find my youtube channel named (EY Core Gamer), there is a plenty of EVGA black gaming benchmark tests.

I installed my 2080 ti evga black  last night.     the card is a wonderful quality build!    looks great.    unfortunately for my SFX build,  i won't be able to manage the heat; it requires a blower; otherwise i'll bake my SSDs.     it was fun to try out though.    I put my TitanXP FE back in.      So i'll probably use the 2080ti black in a new build; or sell it.

My SFX setup works fine in the Ncase M1. MaxT 76 degrees. What case are you using?

Ncase M1, Asrock Phantom Gaming ITX, EVGA RTX 2080Ti Black Gaming, 8700K at 4.9, EVGA CLC240, Flare X 16gb at 3600, 970 Evo 250gb, 850 Evo 1Tb, Spinner 1Tb, Silverstone SFX-L 800W, Acer XP271HU

syber vapor; the ssds are right on the back of the card; and hence all that heat bakes the SSDs even with the top off.    I'll probably do a new build in a node 202.

Thinking about buying the black edition for another machine....I put a hybrid kit on my ultra gaming and its idling about 30C and 54 to 59 under load...at 2100MHz/7500MHz

I think I could push more, but the ultra gaming seems great at those clocks..

AMD Ryzen 7900x3d
Deepcool LT720
Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX X670 (Might change..don't like this board)
eVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming (Hybrid kit on it)
Asus ROG Swift PG43UQ 4k Monitor
eVGA 1600W Supernova T2 PSU
32GB Kingston 6000 DDR5 (2x16GB) Fury
Corsair MP600 Pro 2TB (Boot)
Corsair MP600 2TB (Games/Data)

Has anyone tried shunt modding this card? I'm bouncing off of power limits at 2000mhz and +750 memory.  I know its uncharted territory for most, but until someone decompiles this BIOS and modifies it which may never happen, this seems to be the only solution to more power.

Not sure if its worth risking your warranty though.

This card has been great, so far! The only downside is the fan noise. I'd really like to slap some Noctua fans on it, but I don't want to void my warranty.

For the 1st time since getting a 2080-ti a few weeks ago, I just experimented with Far Cry 5 today: by adding Resolution Scaling Setting, cranked all the way up, and with all Ultra Settings which I had already had set and played with yesterday... results were unbelievable. game-play was fantastic.

with G-sync and all stock clocks including Optimal Defaults for my MOBO... at 1st I thought I'd have to turn down AA, if not off completely. But it didn't matter much at all. So with AA all the way back up too and with Max Resolution Scaling it is bliss. (i've always hated jagged lines and they are gone. There's not a trace now.)

FPS did hit a low of 49FPS a little bit of the time; and i capped FPS at 72FPS. But with G-Sync, the smoothness with low FPS is great. I can't wait to add my 2nd 2080-ti card and see how nVLink works; and witness if the new nVLink bridge's bandwidth allows stuff like Resolution Scaling to really shine on 2080-Ti-SLI.

While waiting to Step-Up to 2080-Ti-SLI, I played FC5 a lot with 1080-Ti-SLI in single card mode, and in SLI mode. I Tweaked everything possible including FC5's profile settings in the NV control panel, but it stunk in comparison; the single 2080-Ti simply ROCKS in FC5!

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux with maxed out Resolution Scaling should be awesome looking and great FPS too on 2080-Ti. Can't wait to try it tomorrow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmSR2ySBl08

Edit:
Just finished experimenting with The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux.

And @1440p, all Ultra Settings, Highest AA, and with Maxed Out Resolution Scale ("200%"), the eye-candy and game-play smoothness was simply stunning.

Only a guess: the FPS only hit lowest of 57FPS less than 1% of the time and overall average FPS was over 85. And that was with Optimal Defaults on MOBO and all stock clocks on 2080-Ti. Only adjustment was that I was using the default custom PX1 fan curve. Max GPU Temp 64c. (Ambient room temp 18c.)

Well, your results are for Time Spy Extreme, and the other isn't. I'm sure that accounts for the difference in performance.

What resolution are you outputting to your display?

It sounds like I won't be maxing Far Cry 5 with antialiasing at 4K while keeping above 60 fps until I move on from my 2080 Ti. I play very close to a 55" display, so AA--and a lot of it--is necessary.

i play @1440p on my LCD. (see my sig.)

but with Resolution scaling at Max (@2.0) in FC5, i think that is like 4K on my LCD. The important thing is its' BUTTER, too!

The default in FC5 for Resolution Scaling @1.0. When I tried with one 1080-Ti or even two in SLI, with RS just @1.5, even though FC5 started looking much better, it also started to want to crawl. But with RS all the way up @2.0, the 1080-Ti or in SLI; the game started crawling, begging for water, and completely surrender to RS maxed out. Not with 2080-Ti!

With all the LCDs that nVidia is certifying now, as being G-Sync compatible monitors; my upgrading to 4K LCD is just 6 to 12 months away. YAY! Shop! Shop! Shop! Research! Research! Research!

Maybe EVGA could start Selling/ Rebrand, the best 4K LCDs that are nVidia certified G-Sync compatible?

Here is one of my bench runs: [link was removed]

I just compared our scores. I'm wondering about the disparity in scores...! I've attached screenshots of them, cropped to save space.

Well, your results are for Time Spy Extreme, and the other isn't. I'm sure that accounts for the difference in performance.

What a keen eye you have! I only have the free version haha

Got the Black last week, a 200/800 overclock seems stable. temps are in the 70s under load.  I want to put an EVGA Hybrid on later as the temps on my 1080Ti were awesome.  good card so far.
EDIT: got to 265/1210 before it would crash

After missing 3+ months of in stock notifications I finally snagged a $999 2080 Ti Black edition yesterday, yippee!! I was debating about a complete rebuild but it does not seem like replacing my 6700k with a newer CPU would make much difference in gaming at 4K, at least according to most test sites.
