If you guys/Girls can go HERE and read this, I still need some help. I am not looking for a "badass" system. I just want my 5.1 system back. So basically I want to know if THIS avr would work or help the issue I'm having. Thanks guys/girls

    I would not get that AVR as it is not HDCP 2.2.
     
    That said, there should be no reason you can't get your current AVR working with the optical out from the TV. If the sound bar works with optical from the TV, the receiver will too. There is only one format that goes over optical, SPDIF, and it is universal.
