Hello,
Ive been a customer of EVGA since the GT 9800 (early 2000's). I am an IT manager who owns an IT business so I deal with such things consistently
I bought 2 GTX 970 FTW back in 2015, and bought them with the 5 year warranty. Today one of those cards failed on my SLI rig. I went to RMA because of the extended warranty, and I can see the warranty on the first card but not the second.
I called support and explained that It would make no sense to have bought warranty for only 1 card of the SLI rig for 5 years and risk the other not being covered by the cards have to be the same model. This would invalidate the who reason of buying the extended in the first place.
I explained that there has to be some mistake that I have been a customer for over 15 years. That I have various products of EVGA as I buy them pretty exclusively and I also promote them as a great product for my customers.
I explained that in business that these types of mixups happen and if there was anyone within the company that could hear me out and help me. To which I was met with "No" and "sorry". Pretty much SOL.
NOW.
Is this typical? Has anyone else had this kind of issue?
Thinking of filing a formal complaint.
