Sadly I believe the EVGA 600W Bronze just died on me yesterday. I playing a fairly non-intensive game (A Way Out) when the PC just shut off all of a sudden. I couldn't restart it whatsoever. I used the EVGA tool to check on whatever the PSU turns on when I disconnected it from my PC...and it doesn't. Thankfully, I also had my old PSU at hand (a generic Dell PSU). It passed the test (I think) as there was a green light that lighted up on the PSU.
I've never had any issues with my PC before this. The EVGA 600W Bronze was purchased off Amazon in May 2016. It's been in my PC with no issue since then. I had a GTX 1060 SC 6GB, i5 3330, generic Dell mobo and a 1TB HDD in my PC. I do not believe the PSU was put under any amount of strain.
This is the first time ever something has died on me. I've bought EVGA GTX 750 SC 1GB, 960 SC 4GB and 1060 SC 6GB with no issues. The EVGA 600W Bronze PSU was the first time I tinkered with my PC's power supply. I hope somebody will help me on the RMA process. I hope it's simple and easy, though there might be a problem as I am located in SEA.
Thanks!
UPDATE: It is 100% certain that the PSU is dead. I swapped in my old Dell PSU and the PC works. Of course, the GTX 1060 had to be removed. With Steam Sales starting in a week and with tons of games to look forward to, I am really apprehensive as to how long the RMA process will take and if I will even be entertained. I really hope someone can help me here as I've never sent a PC part for replacement, much less one that I purchased online (directly sold via Amazon and shipped first-party to me in my home in SEA). I'm worried cause EVGA has no presence in my country and may turn a blind eye to my plight. The saving grace is the WC has just kicked off, so good thing is I had a spare PSU and my PC now works to at least watch the matches for the next month.
Would appreciate any and all help from members.
Cheers!
