Hi, so I currently have a 3080 FTW3 hybrid card with the kit installed. And I was wondering if I switched to ml 120’s (2400 rpm version) would there be any noticeable Gains over the stock fans running at 3000rpm?

I don't know if changing the fans will void the warranty, so please contact EVGA first. Hopefully this will be OK. What type of gains are you looking to achieve?

I have my 3080ti FTW3 Hybrid in a push/pull with the Corsair ML120 Capellix fans and they are fantastic so far. Replacing the fans will not void your warranty.

Agree with everything people already posted.  If you have the ML120's, run them push pull with the stock fans and seal the fans to the rad with gaffing tape.  If you use top exhaust, make sure you have plenty of other unobstructed intake fans pressurizing the case.

Would the ml120s be better then the stock fans right out the gate?

Without actually doing extensive testing, nobody's going to be able to tell you for sure.

In general, moving to a push-pull configuration will probably net you better thermal control and noise profile.  Especially if you thermally control the fans.

Replacing the fans will not void your warranty.

It will if you get rid of them, lose them, or damage them.

No, they would be virtually the same.  Kinda loud at higher speeds, the stock fans are faster but the ML120 are sealed better by design.

If you already have the ML120's, if you can fit them you NEED to run push pull. This is the way.  You can get good temps at lower volume or turn them up as needed and get 5-9C improvement in temps.  Note other air flow in the case when configuring, or even better post pic of your rig.

So I’ve got a 4000x Rgb case. I’ve got a 360mm rad with ml120s front mounted in pull so it’s drawing in cold air from the front of the case but it doesn’t make it past the radiator. I’m running the hybrid kit as top exhaust with ml120s pushing the air out of the radiator from the inside of the case with a rear ml120 as additional exhaust. I’m thinking about mounting ml 120s in push pull on front mounted radiator so the cold air goes through the radiator to the case.

Could I use the 2400rpm ml 120s in push pull with the stock fans until I manage to get more ml120s to match and have good temps?

I am using SL120s in my O11D all around. Works well. Temps with an overclock never get above 65.

theoretically not but if fans is not stock or/and compatible and have traces then this avoid the warranty

The artic A12s you can get a five pack for the same as 1 Noctua but they top out at 1800 but are super quiet for the amount air they move.

Becuase the stock fans are 3000rpm lol I was going to mount the stock fans on top of the radiator in pull and at the bottom with the ml120’s (the radiator is being mounted in an exhaust position.) So my current temps max at around 65c while playing games with the fans on max (3000rpm). Would I be able to get down to mid 50’s at a lower rpm and noise level in general with push pull?

No.  How would that be possible.

I have the Phanteks T30 in Push/Pull and they keep my 3090 ftw3 Hybrid really cool. 1450rpm will Result in 62c(Metro Exodus EE 450watts). With this Speed they are really quiet and they can Go up to 3000rpm.

I'm not sure if theya re any better than the stock EVGA fans and might actually be worse in terms of static pressure and volume of air moved.

The arctic 120mm fans really have an awfully annoying buzz/hum right around 1100 RPM.  Some of the reviews have covered this.

Out of the 10 arctic fans I bought in two 5 packs, 4 of them died within a year.  The good news is that Arctic has good warranty support and sent me a 5 pack for warranty replacement.

I'm running the Artic P12s on a 3080Ti XC3 hybrid. With them set to 70%, temps sit below 50C while gaming. Benchmarks at 360W put it around 56C. It's very quiet at this setting.

From what I understand the P12's do really well for the money and are relatively very effective at lower RPM's like 1500 rpm or less, but lack the top end of the faster fans and aren't as quiet as the A12 or T30.  Part of the effectiveness of the P12 is due to the tiny hub, which limits speed and quietness.  The A12 has a big hub and the T30 splits the difference.  The GT2150 is more powerful and a bit louder, the ML120 is powerful but loud.  The A12 is somewhat powerful but very quiet, the T30 is similarly quiet but with way more top end, but TBD durability.

Depending on which version of the 3080/Ti you have, I'm not sure there is a lot of benefit going to something more powerful then the P12. For the power limited XC3 cards, I'm not sure running it cooler then 50c will do much for you in game.

With an FTW3 card though, the extra 50-100W though could probably benefit for more air.

I was thinking about messing around with it some this weekend though. Maybe I'll see if I can get some more out of it using the stock fans in a push/pull setup and run them all off the motherboard.

Agree with everything people already posted.  If you have the ML120's, run them push pull with the stock fans and seal the fans to the rad with gaffing tape.  If you use top exhaust, make sure you have plenty of other unobstructed intake fans pressurizing the case.

Why does one need to "seal the fans to the rad with gaffing tape"?

It's just something I personally like to do, the fans are creating pressure (push) and suction (pull) against the radiator, they leak air at any gaps in the mating which wastes air flow and makes noise.  I've never tested it vs. not so it's possible it doesn't have any measureable effect, but I have the opinion if you make enough small tweaks they will eventually add up to an improvement.

But if OP does the above and runs the fans at about 2000RPM with other fans feeding it fresh air, temps should be under 55C gaming at ~400w with 20C ambient.
