4 months or so after instillation and no issues I just noticed a strange pump sound I haven't had. It's almost like something is caught in a fan but I've isolated it to the pump area of the card. This is just a sign the pump is going to die isn't it? If the pump dies would it be fine to run idle not under load? I'm hoping evga will send out a new one before I have to dismantle this one. Is it just normal? I didn't notice it until now but I pretty much have to get my ear right next to an exhaust on the case to hear it, it's not noticeable with the fans even low at idle. But now that I have noticed it I'm worried about it.

Spooky. The sound mine is making is like a slow fan has like a wire or something barely hitting the blades. I'm very certain it wasn't there immediately after install. The Rad is horizontal at the front of the case, the inlet/outlet is at the bottom so I don't think it's anything to do with my placement. Did they send out a replacement immediately or request the old kit back before they sent you a new one? If I have to disassemble this and wait 2 different ship times I'll be unhappy. I can't just put the old air cooler on either as most of the pads/ putty disintegrated or wasn't reusable.

they usually do a cross ship and send you one, then you pack it into the box and send the old one back.

Fantastic, I started a ticket last night when I noticed that it wasn't a case fan issue. I've had case fans go bad before and it sounded similar to those at the start. It was only after I took my side panel off and got close did I realize it. My temps are still fine at the moment so it's clearly working, just loudly.

they are going to ask you to give it a shake to try and clear any air that may be trapped.

Is it safe to run like this? I'm considering shutting the system down until I can get the kit replaced.
