Has anyone tried opening their hybrid card? Specifically the one that isn't preinstalled. Do they also come with those super soft thermal pads that get destroyed when you remove the heatsink? Wanted to repaste :\

    I repasted mine. It does have thermal pads but if you are patient and work it with a pry tool you can disassemble without destroying them. The thermal pads are between pcb and backplate. The thermal pads between the copper plate and the memory will not be affected since you do not need to remove that coper plate to remove the pump sitting over the gpu

    Are they as flimsy as the ones that are pre-installed with the default aircooler? Coz I remember when I took off my air cooler the pads just got destroyed instantly. :( btw thanks for answering!

    I took mine off several times to repaste. They do not fall apart like the stock ones.
