pretty sure they will. They have had one in the works for the titan xp for quite some time ,and my guess is that one will be compatible with the 1080ti when it comes out

I doubt EVGA them self will comment on when. As when they do that and don't make the date it really shoots them self in the foot .But you can find the stuff about the hybrid kit being made for the Titan XP.

I just installed the hybrid kit on my two 1080 Tis. It's working great, taking the temperatures from the 80s to the low 50s. You have to Dremel in 4 places. One to make room for the extra 6 pin power connector. The next for an additional R22 chip. The final to make room for two capacitors near the end of the board. It was a pain but now I have cool cards :)

If I had a dremel I'd do that but sadly not.

Did you use the 1080/1070 cooling kit for this? I'm researching doing this on mine. Did you use the reference plate like gamersnexus or did the EVGA plate work ?

You might be better just doing the modification yourself. I kept waiting around to grab a 1080 FTW edition version of the hybrid. I finally got ahold of one but it took about 7 months before it was available and I was able to grab it. The dremel idea doesn't sound too bad.

followup question, did the gpu fan header provide enough power for the pump? or did you have to power it through a motherboard header.

It would be great if EVGA could have a regular streaming tech forum where we can talk to them about potential upcoming products. I wish they'd engage their customers more. These cards are not cheap, they are a substantial investment and yet information to assist customers developing a purchase strategy for them is scant at best. If I see a closed loop water cooled 1080Ti somewhere else first then I'm going there. I don't want to take a grinder to a £700 card on day one to achieve what is otherwise a fairly straightforward improvement to implement. I want the solution on the board that I buy so I can plug it in and play. If EVGA can't provide that, or won't give me a roadmap for the purchase timing then I'll go elsewhere should someone else provide me with the solution.

EVGA has stated that the Titan X hybrid kit will also fit the 1080 Ti on twitter according to another comment on this forum... I can't find the tweet though. Nitemare3219 Update via Twitter: "Yes I worked on this last night and have an update, good news and bad news... Good is it will also fit 1080 Ti. Bad is we need to wait another couple weeks. I really apologize for the long delay on these. Definitely was not expected delay." I asked if Titan X owners could purchase the GTX 1080 kits and get a PROPER shroud cover later on (they did this for Maxwell Titan X owners because the product was also not ready at launch) - but we don't know if a major redesign of the cooler has happened. We'll see if he answers. I personally would be 100% fine running the 1080 Hybrid kit if all I need to wait for is a proper shroud to cover it up later on. But if the cooler was redesigned to fit/work better... I'd wait it out.

Got my FE Yesterday... I cannot wait for either the Hybrid kit to hit the shelves or a Hydro Copper block. I am happy either way. The heat and fan noise is rather significant when folding or crunching. And mine does 24/7...

I think that is very likely. First batch of custom cards from EVGA in early May, then the Hybrid in July. Unfortunately for me, I can not, and will not wait that long even though EVGA is always my first choice. First company to release a Hybrid or a Hybrid kit will get my business.

For me it is between ekwb's AIO solution that comes out in Spring and EVGA... whoever is first is who I will go with.

So is doing what these guys did with the 1080 kit recommended? I just built my first PC in 16 years but can't say I've ever modified a GPU with a liquid cooler. I saw someone earlier say it requires some grinding? (I haven't watched this full video yet) If it's relatively simple I'd seriously consider picking up the 1080 kit for the Ti but if it's a PITA I'd probably wait... LOL The 30 degree difference I've seen people mention definitely has peaked my interest. I just shipped my 1080 back yesterday and am waiting on the Ti to arrive.

I think you should just watch the video instead and decide from there instead of asking us. Only you can judge if you think you are up for the challenge. I personally think it looks easy, all though it is not very aesthetically pleasing. But I don't care about that.

IN the video they used the 980 ti kit IIRC, not the 1080/1070 kit. You can do that, but it won't look pretty. Users on here have taken the 1080/1070 kit and used a dremmel to cut out a spot for the +6 PIN power and a few other mods so the shroud hooks up and lights up so it is purty. We haven't seen any photos of it though. Thinking about going this route, but I have not seen any on amazon for prime, so I can return if it won't work.
