Section 5 Graphing your points of any value from the EOC stats Requirements MySQL PHP Step 1 Install the pChart library( http://www.pchart.net/). Just download the library and place it in the same location as your Sig Step 2 Download this file I have made already http://kbates666.gotdns.com/test3.zip Unzip it to the same folder as the Signature Step 3 Open test3.png with your favorite text editor Change this set of code to your information *Warning it can not be the same database as the one for EOC stats* //eoc id $foldingUsername = "TestThree"; $eoc_id = "541546"; //mysql information $db_ip = "localhost"; $db_user = "root"; $db_pass = "**************"; Step 4 Test it. Open it up with a web browser. It will only pull information every update interval if somebody accesses the file during that time. It is preset to display the last 10 updates worth of info If you are success full it should look something like this The scales should both auto update to the correct numbers Step 5 *Optional* This step is completely optional Auto update If you want it to act like mine where it gets data from every update you need to schedual a task to access the file every 3 or so hours. I did this on a linux system so it was easy to accomplish this with a crontab job. Here is a website with a explanation on what crontabs are http://kevin.vanzonneveld.net/techblog/article/schedule_tasks_on_linux_using_crontab/ My crontab looked like this 20 */3 * * * lynx -dump http://kbates666.serveftp.com/folding/test3.png Where 20 */3 * * * means every 3 hours and 20 minutes lynx -dump is what program to run in this case lynx which is a text based web browser and http://kbates666.serveftp.com/folding/test3.png being the web address of the graph To install the crontab login to your server using a terminal like putty( http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/) and type crontab -e This should open a file with a text editor like nano At the bottom of the file put your line like mine just change the necessary code. Save and exit. Done

Maybe someone else can get it to work. I'm tired of trying. The examples that come with pChart are working but the code will not do anything. Changing the pChart location in the code results in either a invalid image or error text.

unhappyelf has resolved my issue, the graph is working for me. There appeared to be two lines of code that was not needed. His server seemed to ignore the two lines and apparently my server was rejecting them for some reason. Now to recode the EOC stats so that I can integrate them with the chart and decide what I want shown.

SleinousI see your status.xml is still uploading to my server, do you still need my server then? I am connecting to the server locally, I can not connect from outside my IP. I am working on getting the server on-line but it maybe next month this time before I am ready to switch. If you need me to stop uploading thats not a big problem. :)

I remember the original code that id mish mashed around witha fter you'd written most of it was a total shambles for me to get used to! :P

Hey unhappyelf, I asked EOC if they could add the "last 24hours" to the XML and tehy replied saying that it calculates this every time you click on teh page and that it would be possible to include it. So i've replied asking if they had time if that could indeed be done as a few people are requesting I change them over to last 24hr instead of 24hr average :)

i'm trying to avoid talking to tech support with my web hosting service(1&1) so maybe one of you knows what the problem is. I've got everything working on a test page, when i put an image tag up linking to the .php file, it works fine. the .htaccess file is in the folder with the other files but i still can't get the php renamed to a png to display on my test page or in a forum. I've checked the FAQ on 1&1 and it says it does allow .htaccess files to be used, i copied and pasted the string from this thread into the file so what could be keeping it from working?

Well if your hosting company does not allow htaccess files then you need another solution....To be honest I don't know how to maker it work without the htaccess file.....I would think your hosting company has a solution though.

Oh man this is EXACTLY the problem im having. Im trying to transfer stuff over to x10hosting.com to test it out. But im getting this: The image "http://sleinous.x10hosting.mx/foldingsig.png" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. This also displays when .htaccess isnt working. They talk about a RewriteBase / RewriteRule, if I could use that instead it would be great! EDIT: Nope, no dice.
