I think many people play online games as a way to escape reality, to take a break from real life. I certainly use it as an escape.

Online games carry a certain social aspect. I mean multiplayer. They're dynamic, there's constant movement and development, in real life it's harder. You just need to choose a reliable server here that does not cause unexpected difficulties with the game. After all, this is a way to hide from the troubles in real life, at least for a short time

Nowadays not much. Played World War Z and Sea of Thieves a while back. Both are pretty fun if you wanna kick back and relax (shooting down hoards of zombies is both relaxing and satisfying actually).

games are easy. real life is hard, buying grocery is hard (dress up, drive car, buy, etc), leveling up in real life is hard (finance, getting a hot gf, building muscle). Games is piece of cake. Click click click. time wasted + Instant gratification done....

its much easier to play online than meeting in person, my friends live like 40 mins away and playing online takes no time to start.

I generally prefer single player games over things like competitive multiplayer. Competitive games tend to bring out the worst in me and i end up getting stressed out.

Never have and never will don't like playing with anything but ai in sp. mp is a waste of time to me i don't spend hours on hours playing games

I play Fo76 online but that's just about it, I hope I can snag a 30 series card before the new Battlefield drops because I would play that online obviously.

gotta be like 90% of the time , considering almost every game made for the past few years requires some type on online connection / verification system ,... so we are almost always online whether we like it or not .
