I joined a discord server that sends notifications on cards that come on sale. There were some 3080s that dropped this morning at like 6am but they were some 1,100 dollar asus cards. Idk I'm not trying to spend well over a grand but maybe others would have been interested

I got my brother-in-laws evga 3080 xc3 ultra through fixit last week. He picked it up at Best Buy today and installed it. I'm also in the queue too since October, but I still made an effort to buy cards elsewhere. I knew is going to be a long wait... Got my 3090 and my kids 3070 at Microcenter a few weeks after getting on the notification list. Most of my friends and family have current cards outside of the notification list, and I'm sure we will get more for friends and family that still needs one.

That is one depressing google doc. But informative. I don't know why I am signing up for queues now. Wonder if it'll be the same process for signing up for the queue on Ti launch, in which case, woof... might be very frustrating to deal with the errors.

@ erayser Do you know how much that 3080 xc3 ultra cost? That's the one I've been waiting for since sept. Also, did you leave a similar message on relating youtube videos with similar information? Just asking because a comment on youtube a lot like your above post is what led me to fixit. Thanks! Edit: think I found the card in the list on fixit it was $850. That's great:) it even showed best buy had a founders card for $699 at around the same time.

3 months and nothing so far. i suspect the new gen cards will come out before i get one. then i'll have to Q for the new gen cards and the cycle will repeat.

Aha :D Get to making posts, you want elite status before 3080ti/3070ti launch if you want one of those, the rest of the cards.. You're out of luck essentially :D Altho if you are from NA you might see luck with a 3060/3070/3090, some SKUs for those cards move fairly actively, being a month or 2 into the queue and moving nearly a week per week... If you're EU... no card for you :D or me for that matter :(

I was in the queue for every SKU on 11/24/20. I got a notification for a 3070 XC3, same as above, on May 14. They are coming, just very slowly.

If you are willing to pay any price it's no problem to get a card. There are many cards available in scalpers hands and you can buy immediately whatever you want. However, when you are planning not to pay on top of the already ridiculous prices you have to keep patience. I hope things get a bit better over the summer time but when we start into holiday season demand will increase again and l thing it might getting back to worse. Best time will be summer time I guess!
