I have an older EVGA motherboard in a computer that I just reactivated and updated to Win7.  I have three  problems. first, the sound jacks on the rear have no output. I don't have the user manual and can't tell if I have the current drivers.  I originally had 32 bit Vista on it and upgrade to 64 bit 7.  I originally had 4 gigs of mem which are working fine.  I tried adding 4 more gigs of the same brand and type of mem and the unit will not boot.  During the first boot screen it stops and reboots staying in that loop till I shut off power to the unit.  Tried resetting the memory to no avail.  When I boot with the original 4 gigs it runs fine.
How do I ID the motherboard so I can DL drivers and possibly a manual?

Hello RonnL, welcome to the forums!

Another way to identify the board is by looking at the part number, you can basically google it and it' will show what board you have.  Once you have the model name we put our manuals on our website, i'll link it below.

I'll PM you some troubleshooting we can do.

Sounds like your board is having a problem with memory training. Might want to try clearing the cmos to see if that helps get it going with all the sticks in.

Once you figure out what board you have, let us know, and we can move this to the correct section so you can get more help from the folks that have experience with the same board.

I got the motherboard info.  It's ID'ed as a GeForce 9300.  I looked for mnuals in the site and found none for that particular board.  I also found no driver updates for that board either. It's not listed in either site.
Thanx so much for all the help!!!

That isn’t a motherboard. That is a graphics card.

Ran CPUID CPU-Z and got this.

You can download drivers for the nForce 730i from NVIDIA's website.

https://www.nvidia.com/Do.../index.aspx?lang=en-us

Choose "Product Type" : "Legacy".

Windows 7 64-bit:

You have been shown the information for the NForce 730i motherboard, but in the future, it would help you understand that GeForce is the GPU, not a motherboard. Your motherboard has an onboard GPU, which is the GeForce 9300.

EVGA nForce 730i Features:
Integrated GeForce 9300 GPU for onboard graphics.

The part number will always give you the correct information.

Once you have the part number, go to google, insert it into the search bar, and then you will get a lot more information, and proper support.

Moving thread to the legacy motherboard forum.

Well folks all the help I've recieved here is greatly appreciated and has given my the tools to get this thing going again  running great now.  Got the audio working by uninstalling/reinstalling the audio drivers.  Now that I have the manual I won't be easter egging to find out what things do.
Thanks again to all for your help!!
