Hello there guys, Just came to my attention that my videos have black sides even though they are being recorded in full screen. Can anyone please tell me how can I record videos without the annoying black sides? Ps. I'm recording at 2560:1600 I really need your help.

Hello, it may be relevant to tell us which software you are using to record. Check in your recording software to see if there is an aspect ratio scaling. Try turning Aspect Ration OFF in the nvidia control panel settings under "Adjust desktop size and position"

Sajin It's your aspect ratio. http://nvidia.custhelp.co...-shadowplay-support%3F
Sajin, do you know of any good video recording software that won't present this problem?
Are you having the issue when uploading your videos to youtube?
Yes... And believe it or not after 60 videos was when I noticed since I always look at them from my phone and not my pc. 1920;1080 is not even an option for me because it will do a weird ratio.. I can just do minimum 1920:1200 to be able to see it well myself when gaming.

This will only work when the videos are put up for the first time and no the ones that are already there... It will also not fix the problem when you are viewing the video from a phone.

It's not Shadow Play/Geforce Experience the one making the video into windowed mode but MovieMaker.

http://www.digitalcitizen...ive-movie-maker-videos
The fixed for youtube that we chatted about yesterday did not worked when my video was long.. I know it does not work because I uploaded a small video and it worked, then a long video and it didn't. I also know that I did not make a mistake because I programmed the fix to happen automatically so I did not have to write it all the time. I found the Digital Citizen Solution this morning but it does nothing for me as well. I will show you In the video link you will see how the same video looks perfectly ok in full screen once it's out of shadow play and how it's portrayed in windowed mode as soon as it's place into movie maker. Also tried other video editor software and it was the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQVh55DNTNc&feature=youtu.be The reason why I need to put it in an editor software is because I need to edit it and the size of course. If you have any ideas please help me. I don't know what to do.

Create a custom resolution of 2560x1440 inside the nvidia control panel. Inside the nvidia control panel under adjust desktop size and position set scaling to "aspect ratio", check mark "override the scaling mode set by games & programs". Run/record your games at 2560x1440. You will most likely see black bars when playing, but your recordings shouldn't have any black bars.

When you put it at 2560:1440 you just get lines on the top and bottom which is better than having lines all around it but does not fix the problem completely.

I was wrong.. Both 2560*1440 & 1920*1080 work. There are no borders when using these res. However, the image looks a bit odd if you are coming from 2560*1600 to 2560*1440, or 1920*1200 to 1920*1080.. It looks a bit larger. I do have to ask you why? Is it so odd to use 2560*1600 that there is not program that can just produce it in full screen?

16:9 is the most used aspect ratio.
