Do you hate your mom? Why would you force AMD on her like that....
Does Mom need good front panel airflow? If not forget the mesh it's gonna get dirty fast.
If I were you, I'd get her an Intel NUC.

AMD finally got good(better) and I want to have one in the house. I just didn't know which processor to pic. I guess it depends on the motherboards if it overclocks , and new with the x450's and x470 coming out I'm getting more confused on mobo's AMD side . I don't even know what the heck a NUC is. And I have several cases at my house and that's the one she wants, so be it..... Nothing wrong with good airflow and cleaning the front panel more often, I have a electric blower anyway. I just want her to get what she wants.

Is your mom a gamer or a graphic artist or big on video editing? What does she intend to use it for? Do you have a monitor for her to use already or are you buying one? What is your budget for this? Btw, a NUC (Next Unit of Computing) is a very compact PC. Intel NUC. Amazon NUC.

Is the 2200g mainly for overclockers? like ryzen 1300, 1700

Id say give it a few weeks and pickup one of the original ryzen 4 or 6 core chips on the cheap since they are now replaced with the 2000 series.

that's the plan kinda trying to purchase 1 item a month(have half of them) to broke to buy a complete system :) On the other hand it looks like as far as the new ryzen2s go the 2600 is the best if you supply your own display output, 200$ is pushing it out though. So on motherboards x370 just add crossfire and maybe a m.2 and couple sata's? B350 is fine for overclocking? memory speeds a little faster on the x470... Also I have a 32GB g skill memory kit, can I add 1 or 2 of those off my working x299 and possibly get them to work on the ryzen board?
