Hello everyone,

First of all I tried to solve this with evga, but they didn't reply me so here I'm

My question or I should say problem for now is, I'm from Brazil, and I'm going to buy a evga gtx 1070 SC MODEL 08G-P4-6173-KR and the thing is, I've seen in this website that the warranty time for this board is 3 years!!!

But the point here is, Is evga going to cover me HERE in Brazil, in my adress, for rma ? Or because I'm buying it in Paraguay they won't cover me these 3 years ?

I mean, the BR suffix version is only 1 or 2 years of warranty, so that's what I wanna know, as I'm buying a KR model, if they will cover me

If it works by country or by gpu model overall

Last question, what's the difference between the authorized evga sellers and the normal sellers (non authorized one ?)

I'm going to buy in a non authorized one, so will I have warranty anyway or not ?

Hope you guys can help me

Thanks a lot!

Warranty follows the product. If you buy a -KR model you should be covered for 3 years. However...

When buying from a non authorized seller you won't be able to get the full 3 years since you're considered the secondary owner when purchasing products from a non authorized seller. Warranty on products purchased from non authorized sellers start from when the product shipped from evga's warehouse, and not from when you purchased it from the non authorized seller.

When buying from a authorized seller you'll be eligible for the full 3 years as long as you have a valid invoice from the authorized seller. You're considered the original owner when purchasing products from authorized sellers. For the original owners of the product with a valid invoice that can be verified from an approved seller the warranty begins from the date of purchase on the invoice.

    Ok bro got it!

Thanks a lot, so it's by its model anyway right ? I'm gonna take a long if I can find an authorized then

Last question, I've to save the invoice ? If I register the product on their website just isn't enough ?

Yes, I believe it's by model. Yes, make sure you save the invoice even after you have registerd the card on the evga website.

I'm 99.9% sure the LATM warranty only applies to the original owner and only from an authorized retailer. See here: https://latam.evga.com/support/warranty/

Las garantías están disponibles para el propietario original.
    translates to
The guarantees are available to the original owner.
    and
Se requiere una prueba válida de compra de un distribuidor autorizado de EVGA para verificar la disponibilidad de la garantía
    translates to
Valid proof of purchase from an authorized EVGA distributor is required to verify warranty availability

Also confirmed here for original owner only, authorized retailer not addressed: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2711204

Here it says the store terabyte is authorized for selling their products, so If I buy the gpu in their store, it eill only start to count on the day I register it ?

Why is evga so complicated with their rules ? Quite dissapointed, looking in a way, Latin America warranty is the most messed up, which makes me think that we don't really matter at all, which also makes me rethink of buying an evga, but instead, go for some other brand that valorizates our region =)

Because we're buyers just like europeans and noth americans, but of course, not same rights since we were left apart

Thanks for the answers anyway, I'm going to see gigabyte or zotac warranty, see if at least one brand trates us as we should be so, and with this, I mean to say normal buyers like everyone else, this is just embarrassing. :|

Btw, that guy talking about illegal importing from evga, just a ridiculous excuse, I work with foreign trade and I know it doesn't work like that

    But anyway, thank you guys

Hello GuilhermeFurlan and welcome to the Forums!

I am sorry for the different policies for your region. We are a US based company and we do have the greatest amount of flexibility in this region. Unfortunately in other regions we do have to take into account the variety of laws and various customs issues that can arise. We do our best to provide optimal service to all regions but sadly it is not always so black and white as I have learned.

TeraByteShop is an authorized seller in your region (you can find more HERE) so we would be able to provide you with our full LATAM warranty. Hopefully as we grow we can continue to provide greater service and less complication. If you have any specific questions you can always feel free to ask us or PM me.

If you have a moment, please rate my service. We appreciate the feedback!

Ok, not really sure if I'm going for it tho, authorized stores are overpriced because they're authorized =)

Can you confirm these if these 3 only stores are authorized, terabyte, kabum!, pichau

Also, who makes it sure that the warranty will really be three years ? It's everything so complicated

And last, you guys are going to cover me here in BRAZIL if buy it in an authorized store and have any problem ?

How do I apply rma If I need ? Here from Brazil

I mean, after the product comes from an authorized store, I register on your website and then it will start counting the three years after it ?

Also, I have to save the invoice terabyte gives me if I buy in terabyte right ?

Warranty starts from the date of purchase on the invoice. Yes, save the invoice for later as you never know when you might need it.

Just to confirm, probably going to buy it in the end of the year, and want to make it sure I have warranty

How to apply rma from brazil ? I ship it or they will pay taxes and everything ?

There is no difference between authorized retailers & authorized online stores.

You'll need to contact the LATAM Office when rma'ing. Depending on the situation you may get a pre-paid label.

    What's a prepaid label bro

Try to explain in a simpler vocabulary since I'm not a native English speaker and might have some trouble understanding some terms, thanks :D

Pre-paid label = EVGA covers the cost of shipping. All you have to do is put the label onto your package & drop it off.

Hey there, I've got some questions

In january I'm going to buy a gtx 1080 EVGA SC,

The thing is I'm from Brazil, but I'm going to Paraguay Ciudad del este to buy it

I want to make sure I have warranty, since it's a very expensive hardware

How will the warranty be to me ? I mean, my invoice will be from Paraguay, can I apply the rma here on Brazil anyway if I need it ? Without having any problem ???

Second point here, how is the warranty to non authorized stores of evga ? Probably the place I'm gonna buy it from is not an authorized store, even tho they'll give me invoice, will I have rma ?

I know I'm supposed to have, but counting 3 years from the time the store got it from evga right ?

I'm really confused about it, since I read some people saying that only authorized stores provides evga's warranty

    Thanks people

EVGA has a global warranty policy. You can rma the product anywhere as the warranty follows the product.

Stores & warranty start date have already been discussed in this thread. Yes, you can still rma it as long as it's still under warranty.

Yeah bro but why evga authority said that ?

"So since this graphics card was purchased from an unauthorized retailer the graphics card does not qualify for any warranty services. If you have any further questions or concerns about our warranty policies please feel free to contact our Latin American team at soporte@evga.com"

    Check it out

    That's what confused me

Anyway, so 100% sure if I buy it from a non authorized store I'll still have warranty if it's under three years ?

And I can apply rma with the invoice from paraguai here in brazil right

    Thanks

Just looked at that thread. Looks like when you purchase evga products in the latam region you must purchase from an authorized seller.

That is correct, we keep a list of Authorized Retailers HERE.
We do not offer second hand warranties in the Central and South American regions, the warranty requires that you are an original owner and you have the invoice from that retailer.

Evga global warranty doesn't exist then ?
