Thank you bill1024, yodap, and tanner2. This trek is weird. The Hungarians don't communicate. I started out as a substitute tour guide in Budapest. Wonderful place. Went well for to days. Then I out of the blue had a blood clot of the heart and was rushed to Copenhagen for an angioplasty. All went well. Hope to go home today. Who would have thought....

Thank you, yodap. I intend to continue a happy life. They say I arrived in time to avoid any noticable damage to the heart musculature. I cannot grasp it with my head. It was never in the picture. A rehabilitation team is geared to help me among with this aspect.

Thank you for your letter of intent, yodap I'm feeling amazingly well, thank you, yodap. I have been short of breath and tired in my limbs and had to stop and rest every few hundred yards while walking, but yesterday I managed a walk almost as before. And I am still confused as to what happened, but I'll be all right. Beginning a rehab program next week. The development in treatment of an episode like this is amazing when I compare to what was possible when my father had a blood clot in his heart some 50 years ago. A tiny hole in my wrist and wizard doctors doing their magic.

For your information:Base Camp is conducting a 10-day trek to Team Cahuamos - a one-man-operation in Mexico. We go there because captain cjslman always leaves a friendly comment when visiting the WCG Forums – and because his slogan is just about the most obvious you’ll find:I follow the Gimli philosophy: "Keep breathing. That's the key. Breathe."There will be a badge on which we have not decided nor started - and you can earn MIP badges simultanously. Please join acpartsman, TLD, mike047, tanner2, Urden, and little mermaid and hopefully many more Base Campers on April 1 if you are not busy elsewhere. The trek is scheduled to last to April 10. On April 8 we will have a peak day in order to try to make a spike.Address: Team Cahuamos

Thanks, somehow I let my cache go dry yesterday but on track again now. I needed to start early because next week is a very busy one for the EVGA-boys. I will disappear for a few days starting the 3rd and jump back in after April 6 or 7. We will move them up the rankings. Hmm, a photo? Should I or my wife be nervous? Speaking of my wife, 4 weeks after her knee replacement she is doing well and really working hard to get it back to 100%. And she just retired on Thursday. See you in Mexico!

It’s fine with whatever you can spare on the trek, yodap. You bet we’ll move them up. You haven’t met acpartsman yet, but you will now.The photo is the graph – you just stick with your wife and Mrs. Jones Lots going on for you and especially your wife. It must be hard getting back in shape after such a surgery. I hope it doesn’t hurt above the paracetamol level now. So she just retired. What is/was her occupation? When is your turn? You are in Mexico already, yodap

She worked for a large American insurance company as an underwriter for 29 years. Before that she taught special needs kids for 10 years. I plan on working for a while longer, going to take it a year at a time I think. As for the knee, she will do whatever it takes to get back to the things she loves like long walks with the dog and gardening and cooking/baking.

I take it she had no complications from the surgery so that she 'only' needs to regain the strength she may have lost because of pain before the surgery plus of course getting all of her system used to the new knee. She can do it so she can do the things she likes. Isn't it awesome what can be done now compared to just 20 years back? And compared to when you had no choice but live the rest of your life with a bum knee. You sound as such a nice family. Do your children - if you have any - live in the vicinity of you? What is your own occupation, yodap?

yodap, the Maine trek sort of fizzled, so if you need yodap@BC for some other purpose, by all means, do so.We would much rather see you at some other future trek.We have discussed adjustments of Base Camp's operations, because we all find it boring when we are unableto interact with our host team. If interested, you can read about it here.We intend to rig a trek to Minnesota Crunchers starting on May 2. Bearcat - a heavy producer and 'forever' member of the team is having surgery to have additional discs fused to relieve chronic back pain, and we imagine we could extend some long distance support for 5-7 days. I shall be back with details.Your badge is up in the Base Camp Hall of Fame. Thank you for participating, yodap

No problem, yodap, Maine will absorb any points. In deep silence You just said you needed your 'device' for another purpose, so this was special Base Camp service kicking in to remind you Sorry, no moose. Will keep moose in mind for some other trek - Sweden perhaps? We went with a lighthouse - pretty, I think.Hope to see you - and other EVGA-boys - on coming treks when you have capacity to spare.

yodap, your rig yodap@BC is still crunching in Maine. It seems you don't need it urgently, so you could move it to Minnesota Crunchers where Base Camp conduct a half-trekwhich will become a real trek if we get a few more to join the crew. You gave me an idea when you asked if the Maine badge wasa moose - it wasn't, it was a lighthouse but since moose live in Minnesota as well, we now have a moose badge Thank you for providing inspiration for it, yodap: If this badge should provoke an itch with EVGA-boys with idle capacityit can easily become yours ... just one WU donated to Minnesota Crunchersearns you one.

You're welcome. I was able to do it remotely and those few credits were residual points because I hadn't crunched a task for many days for Maine. I can start in with Minnesota this weekend or maybe a little sooner. I like moose and owls. These 3 hatched a couple weeks ago.

Wow!Have you arranged the monitoring, or do you find it on the internet? Edit: I see it's a YouTube link, but someone has rigged it :)It almost scares you to see them breathe and see how fragile and woolly they look.I hope there are good mouse fields for the parents. Three little ones are many.Where I used to live an owl couple had their nest in an old beech very close to ourbedroom window. The best was when they had a 'single child' which didn't need tocompete vocally for food
