Whauw! That's an entire very large corporation!
What I meant was if you have 'a joint chief of staff' - a coordinating council - or how should I phrase it?
Where the captains meet, decide, and inform each other.

Thank you for joining top40.nl  yodap
We tried to give you the de luxe penthouse suite, but you preferred something more simple.
Which means that the de luxe penthouse suite at adriverhoef’s Grand Hotel is still vacant.
Any takers?
Trying to entice you some more: We are having a party all night, because adriverhoef's team will be expected to pass 120 years of runtime. adriverhoef brought this acidy music top40.nl

On the first day of the Christmas Challenge 2017 we made it to #13, which is very good for such a small team.
Well, yes there is room for improvement.
Chicago-IL-USA is ahead of us with almost twice our score

So you are several teams.
I know Crunching@EVGA, and I recently heard about HardOCP. Which are the others? Should I know those?
BTW HardOCP (I dare not repeat what I said many days ago) is #1 in the Christmas Challenge 2017
some 50% in front of Team China
HardOCP 26,517,614
Team China 16,893,529

No problem, yodap
- as long as you promise to dance at least one dance with me during our night long party.
Good luck with the maintenance.
Do you know the Whirled Peas?
You meant to put up a link, didn't you - or did I mess up again?

No, there is no relationship between EVGA teams and HardOCP teams.  Some of their members post here just as members of other teams post here.  You can find their home forum at hardforum.com

Our first challenge back when AB started the Crunching@EVGA push was the WCG Christmas Race.  Back then, though,  nearly everyone focused almost exclusively on WCG, so it wasn't that difficult to do a month long challenge.  Now we have much more diverse interests, so that challenge is too long - even for me where WCG is my primary focus.

Thank you Punchy.
I know Crunching@EVGA and that team is sort of my second home.
I understand that you are busy on a lot of different projects and that the Christmas Challenge has too long a duration for your style. So I'm pleased to offer you the possibility of crunching one day or two between now and December 25th with top40.nl for nostalgic reasons if you should be out of other commitments during that span of time.

ipkha, thank you very much
- since your temporary captain, adriverhoef, is Dutch, I'll share with you my rudimentary glossary:
ezel ~ donkey
zeemeermin ~ mermaid
een beetje ~ a little bit
and of course
 ~ thank you

OlddanIT, thank you for surprisingly joining top40.nl during this Christmas Challenge 2017.
We haven't talked, yet, OlddanIT, but I'm ready to hear where you're from when you are.
In the absence of our temporary captain adriverhoef who's meeting the Dutch Santa Claus (getting us presents while they are available, I presume), I have been asked to welcome you. Since our Grand Hotel de luxe penthouse suite has not been taken yet, I'll put you there, unless you are against is - as was yodap ...
... we do have more minimalistic suites/rooms to offer if you are siding with yodap.

bcavnaugh, yesterday I said in fun that I had psychic powers
- and I like fate, coincedences and chance
This I see as a coincidence as I did bill1024 visiting that village on the West Bank of the Hudson where I lived a short while on a regular basis
- and furthermore having lived in Poughkeepsie, where I also lived for some three months before moving to Rhode Island.

As per your advice we're having salmon with plenty of healthy omega3 fatty acids
no blood clot - fluid retention - but fish is always good ....

I do hope your not going with farmed salmon.  I may be a bit biased since that is what I was raised on in Alaska.

The salmon I use is grizzly caught.
They may have some slashes, but they are really fresh
If you like that variety, you're welcome to dine with us, polarbeardj

And what is bad about it in your opinion?

I shall join you for a dinner or two, but alas I cannot set a formal date as to when I can attend.

I grew up in a commercial fishing industry relying on wild caught salmon.
Currently with farmed fish my issues are limited.
My preference is Wild as it benefits a diverse range of people and buisnesses economically vs Farms that mostly profit large corporations.
A big problem is sea lice in farmed salmon which can be transferred to wild salmon moving through the area.  This means they need to use
drugs to try and control it in the farm raised fish this in turn is excreted into the oceans along with un-eaten fish food which contaminates
the local aqua culture potentially causing harm to the eco system they decide to build the farm in.

That’s very interesting, polarbeardj. Sea lice. Never heard of it.
It’s educating to hear this from – if I may say so – the polarbeardj’s own mouth.
We don’t need more drugs
– the pig farmers and their willing vet helpers spoilt a lot already in my country –
so we don’t need that in the sea as well.
One meal two meals – you are welcome anytime, even for an hour.
Sometimes we have mosquito pie or the like, though
