Hi everytone, I bought a 2080ti about 5 months ago from evga. I encountered this problem when trying to start up my pc a few days ago. Does anyone know what caused this? And is there a fix to this?

Thank you!

When's the last time you updated any drivers or software or was this completely random?

This is called 'Space Invaders' and could be a software or hardware hardware related issue.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

Many have experienced it. Fixing it usually requires getting the video card replaced.

Looks like the GPU is having a hardware issue, most likely memory. Could you provide the following...
    • Complete PC build list.
    • Was the GPU overclocked when this occurred?
    • Was the CPU or RAM overclocked when this occurred?
    • Are you able to easily reproduce this using bench-marking software\games?

I had that recently with my previous computer build.  It seemed like it was memory related.  I reseated all my desktop memory and the problem never returned.

Get some software on there and monitor GPU temps.

Remove all system OC & do a Cold reboot (pull the plug) ---> before condemning the GPU

Make sure it is Not just happening in 1 game

It could be an excessive OC or driver issue --> that should be eliminated as the cause before RMA

I was only posting I had Micron since the other individual asked. I otherwise have had the 2070 for several months without issue. Oddly enough I thought it was related to the borderlands pre-sequel HD textures package since some folks had started having game crashes/issues after installing that. I removed it all completely..crashing for me happens no matter what I'm doing. I can be browsing youtube and artifacting starts to occur and the system locks up and eventually crashes.
