When I purchased my 3090 KP, I added the 10 year warranty for $60. Now the maximum is 7 years and it costs $240 for cards $1500 and over.

I’m not complaining since $60 was ludicrous for what amounts to a free upgrade if I need to RMA in 9 years. Just disappointed, that’s all.

I can also confirm that sending your serial # to Vince to get the XOC bios does not impact your Kingpin warranty.

Main: 10700k @ 5.4ghz, 3090 K|NGP|N Hydrocopper, 4x8 @4300 16-16-16-36, EVGA 1200 P2, MSI Z490 Unify, 5 radiators, 2 pumps. Heavily modified Evolv ATX

Travel size: Zen3 5800H, RTX 3060 Laptop GPU w/unlocked bios, 2x16 Kingston HyperX 3200 C20

My guess is that GeForce series 30 RMA rate was too high and EVGA went into damage control to cut their losses.

Since it started eight years ago, the extended warranty program pricing had surprisingly not increased, so a price increase was overdue.

Sure, but an object at rest will stays at rest if no forces are acted on it. So, there was some force. I think more then usual rma might have been that force. I don't have good memory but i don't remember games killing GPUs in the past. Or am I wrong?
