Today Microsoft confirmed Halo: Reach will arrive on PC as a full package this December, complete with Firefight, campaign, multiplayer, and huge PC optimizations like uncapped frame rates, 4K 60FPS support, and full mouse and keyboard support. We'll see playlists borrowed from the original 2010 launch including Firefight's online Score Attack mode as well as the classics like Team Slayer. It'll also have online co-op campaign too. Reach is included with the $40 Master Chief Collection, but you can buy it separately on Steam for $10. The full Master Chief Collection obviously won't be available if you pre-order the complete package--only Reach will drop in December.

Halo: Reach will release on December 3, 2019 on PC, including the Windows Store and Steam.

10 dollars doesn't sound too bad if you like the Halo gaming genre in my opinion

These remake/update games always sound great at first, but then I get in and play them once or twice and that's it. These games were great for their time, but usually not so great for this time. I'd rather spend my money on new games.

I bought (PreOrdered) the Master Chief Collection 33.95 with an expired discount code which includes Halo: Reach. I have to wait until release Dec 3rd to play which sucks or pay the extra 10 and play the beta now. To be clear, the beta ends tomorrow for insiders.  For 6 games being released incrementally between Dec. 3rd and by the end of 2020 I'd say it represents a solid value. For that matter an AAA game for 10 bucks w/single and multiplayer its hard to go wrong with Halo: Reach.

I last played Combat Evolved in 2003 after a 3-year love affair. M$ pissed me off when they made the Halo series an XBOX exclusive. I'm glad most of the series I missed is coming back to PC in the lead up to Halo: Infinite which will also be released on PC. At least I get to catch up on what I missed.

I'm looking at starting a "Spartan Company" if anyone is interested PM me.

Gotta wait for reviews - I'm skeptical that these can pass muster after this much time has gone by....in terms of gameplay expected

The collection makes more sense. Not sure why I would only buy one episode in a series on PC.

It's different for each person. I personally like playing old games since it's like a history of gaming that I enjoy as long as the game is good. As for Halo the collection really is a great way to see the evolution of first person shooters during the previous decade.

Runs great, you need to up the mouse sensitivity and change a few settings like crouch and zoom for pc to toggle. Visually looks awesome, enjoy playing it. Oh and visually there is an option to up the eye candy to the remastered visuals. Well worth the purchase if you are a Halo to FPS fan. If you are a fan get the collection it will be cheaper in the long run. New to Halo its up to you you can get reach for about 10 bucks to see if you like it or you can just go all in and save some money in the long run. Oh one last thing update your GPU drivers to the latest ones, or you are going to run into some annoying performance to visual issues.
