Geez, so 4 months having 3080 FTW3 Ultra and just now noticed while dusting out PC that there are clear little thin plastic sheets on the center hubs of the 3 fans on the card. Had no clue and didn't see them when I set everything up back in November. I doubt it caused any issues, maybe some sound since they were starting to peel off. These things really should be labeled or made more visible for removal!

Corsair does that, some of my fans still have them on, to lazy to take apart a  360 p/p on a tt core p3.

Thanks for the heads up, they are hard to see that they are on there.

Yup exactly this. The hub in the middle of the fan blade has an "e" on it. The plastic sheet was on each one. 2 of mine were peeling off, the middle one was harder to grab it was pretty good stuck on still.

I didn't notice the film on the "IO Shield" of my 3080 until I took it back out to put a water block on it. These films seem to be applied on so perfect that they're nearly impossible to notice.

Come on folks, hardware unpacking and installation is so simple.
If someone have impaired vision, perception, or luck of experience - it is highly recommended to visit a computer shop and give professionals to do even the most basic things.

Not insult in any way or shape, just a friendly advice.

    Agreed lol
It's funny (I didn't notice the plastic wrap on the chrome part of my 3090 RGB until after install.) but at the saem time could cause an issue... the plastic/sticker could get more stuck/harder to pull... or it can fall off into a place you do not want it falling off in.

A much bigger issue on other components in a PC, so just good practice to double check every inch. I usually toss on my headlamp as I get all giddy with my new toy.
