Looks like I might not be able to mount one of the bottom fans. I haven't tried yet, but I have the rad mounted now and from looking at things, It seems the VRM cooler on this board is juuuust a bit too high and might not clear. I could still put the bottom fans on the other 2 slots though...

Do you have the E760 Classified? I have a little less than half an inch in between the radiator fans and the vrm heatsink. Same as in between the CPU block and Ram. Ok i just calculated some measurements and it looks like it will barely fit. The total width of my rad + fans is 3.14 inches, leaving me with almost half an inch of room to spare. That being said, the total width of your rad with fans installed is 3.44 inches. So technically you should have about .1 to .2 inches of space between the vrm and the radiator fan.

Holy crap! I saw this board on newegg for like $650 the other day. It truly is a beast! The most powerful single CPU board out right now. I see what you mean, that heatsink above the CPU might be too high. I can take some measurements from my case if you'd like.

I'll just check it when I get home later... the rad is mounted, so I'll be able so see in a sec if I have the room. Not too big a deal if not, there's still room for a fan above the rad there, so I can have 2 bottom fans and 3 top.

Isn't that board more expensive than the SR-2? It makes sense, though, because with the SR-2, you have to dedicate yourself to getting >2000$ worth of CPUs.

It retails for 700 in canada O.o Lucky for me I'm a priemier partner member of NCIX so it was ... significantly less. :) Looks like I have just not enough space to get the fan on the rad just quickly mounted it to check. The one over the memory slots is actually touching the clips.. I'd have to install the memory before the fan lol. This rad is pretty good , im sure 5/6 fans installed will not hurt things at all.

If I were to do it all over I would have bought the XSPC Single 5.25 Bay Reservoir with the MCP-355 pump, instead of the XSPC Dual 5.25 bay with the MCP-655 pump. That way, it would be much easier to add another loop for my graphics cards. As for the Radiator, if you dont mind using 3x 100+cfm fans, the Black Ice GTX 360 is the best. You can always get a fan controller and turn them down when not doing stress tests. For the CPU block, the one I picked out is the best of the best. It beats the Heat Killer 3.0 and looks better doing it. Barb fittings are cheaper and don't look as nice as compression, but they are more secure than compression fittings. If you don't mind spending an extra 40-50 bucks get the compression fittings. Otherwise just save your money and get barbs and hose clamps. I think thats about it. As for liquid. Go with Distilled Water + Silver Coil and about 15 -20% Prestone Dexcool Antifreeze/Coolant (the orange stuff) its about 14 bucks for a gallon that will last you forever. When using pure Distilled Water and a silver coil you have NO protection from corrosion. The Dex-cool prevents the corrosion from happening. I left the Silver Coil in my tubing because it can still act as a biocide, stopping any algae or bacteria from growing inside my loop.

Well, I can tell you that I used to have air cooling with a lapped ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme with 2x Ultra Kaze in Push Pull and this liquid cooling setup is 15c colder than that. With a high overclock, the CPU temp (not core temp) is about the same as the ambient temp of my room.

Great build there... Glad to see someone else pulling in air. I've got a XSPC RX360 on a single loop. Gentle Typoon 1850 Pulling Top(from outside) Scythe Kaze Jyuni 1900 Pulling into case. With 2 x 470 running 725/1450 i7920 @4Ghz 1.35 Full load folding in get these temps - 64 on cpu and 55ish on cards - [font="'times new roman'; line-height: normal; font-size: medium"] Not bad i think. Until i decided to pull in from the outside i was getting 10 degrees higher at time. UK has amazingly just had/having some late 20's degrees temps, so it been a good test. OK its time for an upgrade folks. (Let me know if I should do something different for the VRM Cooling) I will be adding another radiator and 2 GPU water blocks to my loop. The radiator will sit up against the hard drive cage in my Haf X case. I went with the Black Ice pro 2 240mm Radiator because it is only 1 inch thick (2.1 inches thick with fans installed). I have about 3.5 inches of space in between the cards and hard drive cage. The GPU Blocks will be EK VGA Supreme's ( just waiting for Sidewindercomputers to get them in stock). Here is a simple diagram of what the layout will look like. Hopefully with the extra rad I wont see an increase in CPU temps. Perhaps a decrease?? These will go onto the card like in the picture below. Ill be using this thermal pad and cut it to the dimensions of the VRM's then stick it on according to the picture, and then I'll add the copper sinks on top of it for maximum VRM Cooling!

I finally got the rest of my parts in today around noon. I just finished it tonight at around midnight (lots of breaks). Idle temps are 35c and load temps with OC scanner were around 45 - 46c on both cards. I haven't played a game yet, but as soon as i finish typing this I'm going to jump onto some Crysis 2 with all the new dx11 goodness! Here is what I added... 1 Black Ice 240 Radiator 2 EK VGA Supreme HF Water Blocks 32 Forged Copper Heatsinks from Swiftech The Cards are EVGA GTX 465 SC

OV3RCLK4 nice build, I'm setting up my loop in my HAF X and your pics really helped. Great idea placing the 240 Rad. How do you have it mounted against the hdd cage? Do you think I could fit the BI xtreme 2 in that space? It's listed at 1.77inches thick. If not then I'll go with the BI GT Stealth 2 It should fit in that space since it's only a few mm's thicker (29.60mm) than the one your using.
Again thanks for posting pics, this is my first wc build and seeing your layout really helped.

I have the rad mounted with 1 zip tie lol. Its tied to the harddrive cage. The rad size depends on how long your cards are. I have about 3 inches of space between the HDD CAGE and Vid Cards.

Hadn't thought of a zip tie! I don't feel bad for thinking about using double sided tape. :)
Are you still using the HAF X's 200mm fans with the 360 Rad? Was gonna use them to pull but they may just be in the way. What are you doing with your 240's fans (pulling or pushing), and your other HAF X case fans.

The fans I am using on the 360 rad are INSANE! They are Delta 140cfm 3700rpm 120x25mm. I use them in Pull/intake. I removed the top 200mm fans because they are too weak compared to my 3 deltas, and they would just hinder their performance. 99% of the time the deltas are at the lowest speed which is about 1900rpm. I replaced the front 240mm intake fan with a stronger 200mm Storm Force fan and put a red led Cooler master Megaflow on the side panel doing exhaust. I just ordered a 200mm NZXT 166cfm fan for my side panel because the mega flow and stock 200mm fans are very weak. They are rated at 110cfm but the pressure is extremely low so they pretty much suck. Since the NZXT fan is white, i will probably spray paint it black so it looks better. The rear exhaust and 240 radiator fans are all scythe slipstreams 110cfm 120x25mm.

Upgraded to GTX 480 SLI and added a drain tube which i split with one of my Y splitters. Its plugged and sitting there on top of my PSU. Also changed the GPU layout from parallel to serial. Both cards are within 2c of each other at all times. Usually 48c on bottom and 46c on top. My next upgrade will be replacing the 240 radiator with the GPU duct + Delta Fan and mounting one of these on the outside non-window panel of the Haf X. Oh and yes that is my homemade electrical tape back plate on the bottom card. Just incase one of those copper sinks decide to fall off I want the back of the card protected.

Looks good, Just a thought but instead of replacing the 240 you should cut out your bottom two or 3 hard drive bays and cut holes in the floor of the case to lay the rad down, might give you more room and you can still most likely use that huge rad if your going to put it on the side panel

If I do keep the 240 rad I would just keep it where it is. The fans blow right on the little heatsinks for my cards. The only reason why i thought of removing it is to reduce the strain on the pump.
