Is there a way to disable HPET in bios on the x79 FTW board?

I've scoured the bios but cannot seem to find a setting for it

got latest (2.05) BIOS if that's of any relevance

Not sure, why do you need to disable that timer?

As far as I am aware this is not a setting in the x79 BIOS. HPET can be disabled within Windows. Please read over this post HERE for how to do this.

Some issues I've encountered have been narrowed down to it.
When I suspected it, I tested on another brand x79 board that can disable it.  Other than board drivers and board itself the rest of the hardware and OS setup was identical, clean w10Pro64 with just the applications that i'm getting issues with installed.

Enabled or disabled in windows, if it's on in BIOS the issue persists, when disabled in BIOS and Windows the issues vanished on the other board.
Enabled or disabled in Windows on my EVGA board, the issue persists.  Unfortunately i cannot switch to the other board.

Disabling in windows makes no real difference to the latency issues I'm experiencing unless it's also disabled in BIOS.
From the Kingpin guide, it appears it was a setting in an older revision(s) of the BIOS of at least one x79 board.  So I'm not sure why it was removed/hidden.

Reverted to an older BIOS (kept current saved so i can switch back via switch on board if needs be), it brought the option back, set to disabled and the issues I was experiencing are completely gone.
Tested with it enabled to verify and the issues returned.  Not sure why it's removed from more recent BIOS revisions for this board.

also now DPC latency is around 1/4 avg lower than it was before
