I performed a routine bios update on my HP Pavillion DV9000 notebook directly from HP and afterward it took what appears to be a dump on me. When ever I put the battery in the notebook it will power on by it's self. What could the EVGA team suggest I  do on this matter? Is there any kind of fix to save my notebook or a reset option I can perform to get back on track??? Over the last year this forum has been wonderful with suggestions and tips and has saved me a couple of times so I always come back for more great advice from my fellow EVGA members.

To get a better idea of this problem I've posted a video on Youtube which can be found by clicking on the link below.

Update: After the notebook battery lost it's charge I can only plug in the ac/power cord and nothing happens. It won't even turn on when i press the power button. Has for a bios update I can't even access a bios screen let alone power anything on now. All that remains is the retro blue circle led light when ever i plug in the ac power cord to the notebook....

try the solution mentioned in the comments
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-systems-and/HP-Pavilion-dv9260nr-will-not-boot-after-bios-update/td-p/39973/page/3

if its not F1 then its F12 on the HP lappies to force the bios screen up
another workaround is try and blow out the the air intake outtake slots with compressed air to rule out lint build up and heat issues.. try and hook it up to an external monitor to rule out damaged graphics card... when turning on the lappy try and open the screen at differnt agles  like 15 deg,25,45, ect to see if you can get it to show...

Agreed on the heat build up, Took my dv9535nr apart about a month ago, both heatsinks were COMPLETELY clogged with dog hair.

Also, (this probably has nothing to do with it) but did you check and see if your battery was part of the recall?  I got a battery for free, and my old one never even exploded on me :)

It is odd this happened after a bios update.  Isnt there some way to flash the bios outside of windows?  (Techies help here)  If so you could try to flash it back to an older bios.

What model is your 9000 series? Because i think i have working BIOS for my 9535nr somewhere.

Okay, to make better since on this problem I can simply order a motherboard and replace the dead one. I want to know a couple of things before hand.

1.) Can I use my cpu which is an Intel 2.95 dual core

    2.) Use my memory 4GB of DDR2

I was doing a little research and it says I can drop my cpu and ram into the new replacement motherboard because the two components are not integrated with the motherboard it's self. What's the truth because If that's the case I can do that once I unscrew everything. Please advise...thanks! :I'm sure there's more then meets the eye with the process. I need to also make sure the integrated video is an NVIDIA 8600 Series and if so can that also be upgraded to better since I'm going to swap out the defective motherboard? I figure why not get the most out of my laptop and see exactly what my options are. I would like some suggestions and pointers from you great guys...thanks!

Also, check out this eBay link they sell these replacement boards dirt cheap: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=hp+dv9000+Intel+motherboard&_sacat=0&_odkw=hp+dv9000+motherboard&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

I have the HP Pavilion DV9000 Series. I have not removed the motherboard but I am about to tomorrow. I can't access anything on this computer at all. It's totally shot mate. Please review my question list above post.
