I'm interested in buying a H370 Stinger. Will it support the Intel i3-9100? I didn't see that CPU mentioned in the list of supported CPUs.

Thanks for the idea. I called and asked. I was told that the board will support that CPU but it will require a BIOS update.  Unfortunately, I don't have an 8th generation CPU to flash the BIOS. He said they can't flash the BIOS for me before shipping it out. I'd have to get an RMA and send it back in to be flashed.

That sounds like more trouble that it's worth, so I'll look elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing the information ... Yes --> but must Flash BIOS First

Ask your friends or look on eBay for a cheap used compatible CPU is what most people have to do when new CPUs are launched After the MB are made / BIOS needs update

    I think that's bogus.

I was under the impression that if you bought a mobo directly from EVGA, they would flash it to the latest BIOS if needed before sending it out.

It was BIOS 1.04 that added support for 9th Gen. Intel CPUs, but that was almost 2 years ago..1.08 is the latest as of now..Chances are pretty good, but not certain, that a new board will already have 1.04 or a newer BIOS flashed to it.

If you really really want that board and it doesn't have 1.04 or newer and won't boot, you could take it to a PC repair shop and have them put a Compatible CPU in it if they have one laying around (call and see) and flash it real quick..Shouldn't cost much at all..Or, scrounge one up somewhere.

Does anyone know what BIOS ver. EVGA is shipping these boards with currently?
As the OP said, it would seem like a lot of work to buy a stinger to use with a 9 gen chip which was supported
as of 1.04 only to jump through hoops as it were to get it to work.

Personally, I just don't see how this can be, but I guess you never know.

Im with you, I really want to grab that stinger board (with discount only 66 bucks) but am planning on putting an i5 9400F in it.  I dont have an 8XXX CPU laying around and dont want to have to buy one right now while prices are crazy just to do an upgrade on the bios.  if I had to RMA how long would that take?  theres no way to flash the bios via USB only (like an asus board?)
