It’s interesting but the difference isn’t as extreme as it once was. Under load a difference of 12C between the best and worst isn’t that much. I mean if you got any in the top five your overclock would be about the same.

worthless test results  - they didn't even try mayonnaise , ketchup or lipstick ...

but seriously , I have been pretty happy using MX-4 over the years. It strikes a good blend of being very easy to work with / while still providing great results.

The coolermaster mastergel maker sounds interesting - I looked at specs & it says it uses nano-diamond particles ?  That sounds exactly like IC-diamond tim I have used before ...,which was very hard to work with and seemed to score/ etch whatever I used it on .

MX-4 is hard to beat --> unless your chasing world records the Price/performance & ease of application - makes MX-4 the Must have in my shop

Though the article attempts to use strictly imperial data - I wonder if a more scientific approach would show any significant differences

    1) Was the room temp & observed CPU temps cross referenced --> Many of the TIM had a less than 1C temp difference .... so was it the room or the product ?

    2) Thermal testing with a Known heat source (fixture) for absolute consistency & Calibrated data recording thermometer(s) @ 1, 2,4,6 & 8 Hr intervals for heat soaking

    3) What does the Ramp-up look like for the different TIM ?  World record runs are measured in minuets. (The slope would be interesting to see)
