Hello all,

I have recovered a good X79 Dark motherboard to set Up a secondary PC.
It was unused for a year, laying in box with accessories.

I tested it again on a cardbox to check everything before putting her in the case, and here we go....
Stand by power is ok, led on, led pulsing beneath northbridge, bios led on and correctly switching, but no power when I press the Button (or I Short the pins). Nothing.
Tried different psu, power cables, change memory, checked socket (is perfect).
I don’t know what to do, it seems perfect as it was before, no signs or scratches...

I only noticed that the power Button when I Switch on the psu (or off), blinks in Green for a moment. But that’s it.
No sign of life apart stand by lights...

Could you help? Could I send it to EVGA for a (paid) Support?
I am sure it is something stupid but I have no expertise in Electronics at all...

    Hello,

Is this while using the motherboard without having the memory, graphics card or hard drives connected? Unfortunately, this motherboard would be out of warranty and we do not have out of warranty services but hopefully, we can try to troubleshoot this for you.

Before storage this MB did function correctly ?

4-pin or 8-pin EPS / CPU power is fully seated along with 24-pin ?

Change the coin cell battery ... bad battery - maybe ?  as a Quick test remove the battery (might work, if battery is shorted)

All cables are plugged correctly, of course it was perfect before stored. Could it be the battery? I don’t See how it could prevent the Board to be switched on....
