Like the title I need a PWM Fan hub that can run off a mother board Header and have the ability to run at least 10 Fans per hub. I know of some that exist but I want to know what others ave experienced.  I have currently NZXT Grid+ V3 and to be honest it is the biggest pile of crap I have ever experienced so I have wasted my money on some of them and have no interest in wasting my time on that brand anymore. Thanks in advance.

What I use does only eight fans (unless you use 2 to 1 cable)
    • 1-to-8 PWM connectors
    • 2200μF capacitor provides stable voltage
    • Support speed detection for accurately controlling fans

      SATA powered

      only $14

Great Low profile Design, fans connect horizontal through the sides

Can you run that many fans from a single motherboard fan header? There's a limit on amps supplied through there - not sure what the limit is, but I'd hate to see you melt the header down to slag. You might be better to run a fan controller straight from a SATA/molex plug with a controller mounted in one of the bays.

Can you run that many fans from a single motherboard fan header?

    Yes.

The PWM output can "run" nearly an infinite number of fans since the PWM signal is high impedance and transfers near zero current flow. The trick is, these "hubs" just properly route the PWM signal and one RPM feedback signal to the motherboard, while the higher current required for the fan operation comes from the hub straight from the power supply, instead of the motherboard fan header.

The thing is, if you want to power a lot of fans, you will need to find a special jumbo hub with multiple power supply power inputs, or wire multiple hubs in series (if the product supports it), or just wire up the circuit yourself. The electrical circuit is dead simple and if you have soldering and shrink wrapping skills, you should probably just make the splitters yourself and not even think about spending your money on a fancy looking hub which is merely a plastic enclosure around a handful of electrical traces with not a single electrical chip or any additional fanciness.

Argh. Typed out the circuit construction and then the connection was lost. Oh well. Just google. The capacitor is unnecessary and is just a marketing thing to make the hub seem more complicated. None of your other computer fans are connected to capacitors.

Ahh of course, the power supply is separate, the motherboard header is just for the PWM control. lol, I need to get more sleep. Thanks. :)

Yea I am going with the silverstone. It just grabs the pwm signal and is powered by sata power. My fan's at max will pull 3 Watt's per fan. I will only have them pulling .5 to 1 watt. Yea My biggest issue is the custom desk pc has 32 fans. So I am making sure it all works perfect. I already have 18 of them controlled. So 14 fan's left to split between 3 silverstone fan hubs. plenty of pwm fan connects left on both mother boards to control them.

32 fans?   ..does it double as a drone? You'll have to post this build on ModsRigs when you're done! - EDIT - I see you've already started a thread on it.
