Going liquid in new build. Should I start with CPU only or go both?

In my upcoming build I'm going to go liquid for the first time.  My plan is to do a custom loop with soft tubing.  I'm going to be re-using my GTX 1070 that I bought in January of last year though.  I know I could buy a block for it, however I'm wondering if that's worth the investment since I could potentially upgrade the card next year sometime.  I know the answer would be obvious if I was planning it in a few months, or planning to hold onto the card for a couple more years, but this is kind of more of a gray area maybe?  Otherwise other than the DIY "fun" aspect there's not a lot of sense in going custom if I'm only ever going to cool the CPU yes?  I'm planning to start out with a top mounted 30mm 360 so I should have plenty of capacity for CPU with some OC and a GPU at likely just factory or factory OC settings and of course with custom I can always add on later.  My case for the build could hold up to a 70mm rad in the front in a push config if really needed (though a 45 in push/pull would make more sense than trying to just push with a thicker rad).

Temps right now hit around 65C in most loads and benchmarks at factory SC defaults and fan profile.  Not the worst I've had in a card but of course cooler is always nicer and my case has a vertical mount which would be fun and more functional with a block on there instead of trying to put an air cooled card in it.

I would start with only the CPU for a First Custom Loop.

Ok, but it would make sense to still do the 360 rad so I can expand later or just really push the CPU correct?

edit:  Thanks for the link, yeah I've read a bunch of that and other sites, and been talking with one of the guys at modmymods to put together a custom kit.  I just hadn't planned on starting out with having the GPU in the mix but once I realized the blocks were much cheaper than I had been thinking ( must have been confusing them with the GPU AIO's that are pretty pricey on their own) I started thinking maybe I should just do both at once.

360+ would be a good idea as you can add to it later on down the road when you upgrade the graphics card and add it to the loop. Then add another 360 or 480 rad later.

Just get a good pump so you can keep using it as you expand later on.

Up to you if you want to blow the money on a GPU block if there is one that will work with your card.

Selling that GPU block after is always a hassel and a loss cause people usually only want to pay half for it.. and if you used colored dye coolant it could be a total loss and no one will want a stained glass block.

But a water cooled card is a happy card that will always overclock better running cool and also alot quieter. So it's always worth it in my book.

Correct, You can also later on add a second Radiator or second Custom Water Loop for the GPU. This is what I do for SLI Setups.

Thanks, yeah I think I was looking at an Alphacool VP655 pump.  I was told the 7xx pump is junk.
