OuterVision Power Supply Calculator FYI the last MS update in W11 - slows down Nvidia GPUs 128GB RAM ---> 1/2 that amount should be fine what monitor resolution does he use? Is this for gaming or what ?

The monitor is 3440x1440 34in curved (I'm getting a new one in the future), and he will be using it for gaming. I thought 64GB would be fine, but I have another 64GB so we shall see. As far as windows 11 I had no idea that it slowed down the GPUs, Why on earth is that a thing?

Everything looks top notch except the office system. Instead of 128gb get 64gb and the rest buy another 1tb black for stand alone win 11 if you still want to run it.

If you run it with 2 DIMMS instead of 4, the memory controller will run more efficiently and probably a little faster. If he is just gaming, 32GB is overkill - today. If he is playing with computational physics, simulations and such, 128GB might be a good start. ;) And yes, I have 32GB in my game system. It is more of a why not versus I need it.

So I was able to get on the internet using an old Linksys wifi stick then downloaded all the drivers to finish the build, all is well so far.

I assume the motherboard has two wired ports for the internet so try each one. Ensure the chipset and all other motherboard drivers are loaded.

Neither port or the wireless antenna was working so I couldn't finish loading Win 11, but the Linksys usb wireless stick was able to work for me to finish. I read it here on one of the EVGA threads about the wifi stick, tried it and it worked.

I would go with 32gb 6000mhz DDR5 it may kill a few points on your gpu since DDR5 cannot run in gear 1, but it will give you about a 20k CPU score on that 12th gen i7. You only need that much vram if your doing 3d work/big photo editing/are a developer in the art department. What resolution will you be playing at? I will tell you now I owned a 3080 12gb it was not enough for 3440x1440 in some of my games both vram and just gpu horsepower. It's how I ended up with a 3090 TI when the price was right finally.
