Hi there i bought an EVEGA GTX 1080 FTW ACX3 card back in July 2016 and I have noticed some issues playing Diablo 3 Reaper of souls.  I have had more than once the screen go black the recover after a peroid of time with my audio by switched from MOBO to my monitor so that no sound wass playing.  I have also had Bizarre moments when the frame-rate would die and go to maybe 5-10 fps for a minute or so.  I got the free thermalpad and paste from EVGA to deal with their hot VRMs and applied them but I wonder if they are starting to fail now.  Really disappointed, glad my i7 7700k has built in graphics because I think I may need to send the 1080 back to EVGA to be checked.  What should I do guys?

What are your full system specs? What is the make/model/age of your power supply?

Try #4 listed here, and let me know if it helps stop the black screen or not.

Low fps for a minute or so could be caused by your cpu overheating & throttling. Check and make sure your cpu isn't overheating when your fps drops to 5-10 fps.

Thank you for the reply.  My system is an i7 7700K at 4.5ghz all cores watercooled, 16GB DDR4 3200MHZ ram, ASrock Z270 Gaming K4, EVGA supernova 1300W PSU and a Samsung 850 PRO 512GB SSD.  I will try your suggestions.  I got the EVGA PSU about 2 years ago, funny thing is that I have not had these issues with DOOM 2016 which is obviously much more intensive than Diablo 3.  Oh and I am running Windows 10 Home.
