Hahaha. Yeah, rma’ing a board sucks.

Yea it does. Sajin question since i never mention I am getting lot cmos error and cmos check sum and all that Jazz of crap. To change CMOS battery do I have to remove GPU, Ram, Fans, CPU, and PSU connected cables to motherboard.? ETC ETC Never change CMOS battery well never really had to on any motherboard. search google lot info none answer question about connected hardware.

No. You don’t have to remove anything on the z490 dark to change the cmos battery unless you have a add-on card (graphics card, etc.) installed into one of the pci-e slots that blocks the battery for removal.

OK Battery replaced used multimeter measure volts on original motherboard battery was 0.04 Hehe, (Reminds of something.?) Put Energizer battery tested it and measure 3.2 volts so seems this might work. Well best advice if you reading this and getting CMOS issues check sum  and so on about battery. Check it and replace with new one. Make sure you check new battery too since you never know. Code 04 is still around ahh this is horsecrap big pile of it.

Well by now Code 04 seem to be gone. Only one prevails is Code D6. that on forums for 30 series GPU.
