I was looking at the nearly 30 gigs of data I've saved for the Folding at Home stats and realized that I'm OLLLLLLD in internet years here, folks!
 
I've been a regular-ish posting member of the EVGA Folding forums since spring of 2010, when I joined the Chimp Challenge and started working with Zerran2001 to come up with a reliable hourly stats system for the various folding contests.
 
It was early November, 2010 when I brought my self written VB.net system online to save an hourly scrape of the entire EVGA team's folding numbers.  In mid August, 2013, I added the Top 50 teams listings as well as all the users for those top 50 teams.  It's not exactly the entire pile I WANTED to be able to back up, but I wasn't sure what kind of database I was going to be able to put together at the time, so I put an artificial limit in place.
 
Looking at the archived size of the .txt files (I zip the files daily, and each month, I go further by unzipping the previous month and zipping those into a single file to save the most space), I'm still not sure how Jason does it over at EOC, but that's because Database management wasn't my training/forte.  I'm still poking at it with a stick. A slightly smooshy stick. That I pulled out of a swamp. It may be mostly moss . . .
 
But that's a digression.
 
What I'm TRYING to get at is my birthday is coming up in the 2nd week of April. I'm gonna be 42 years young, but in internet years, I've been here FOR-EV-ER!! (not as long as some of the old timers, but man, I've lost count of the people I've seen come and go!) and I was wondering if I could ask you guys to pitch a few in to help me build up some media storage for my wife, who is an author, and ensuring the data I've collected for the team stays safe and redundant? 

If so, pop over here, toss a few into the proverbial hat, and you all have my eternal gratitude!
 
If not? You still have my love and gratitude. We're a freaking family, by CHOICE, and that makes us EXTRA strong and family like. Right?
 
Love you all, even if I'm not as actively annoying as I have been in the past. Keep folding, my brothers and sisters, no MATTER WHY YOU CHOOSE TO!
 
And not to forget my Crunching brothers and sisters! You all have my love as well! EVGA 4 Lyfe! (Queue the WCW NWO theme, me flashing the 'Too Sahweeet' hand sign [It's a wrestling thing, look it up!] and otherwise showing my age. Get off my lawn!!)

Hey, whoever already purchased a drive, you'll need to contact Amazon about getting that shipment redirected - PM me for the address - I forgot to remove my old address from that wishlist and it's on the way to my old home. I've got the default address updated now (Because, of COURSE amazon refuses to just listen when we remove addresses from our primary account . . . )

I laugh a lot because my wife is on tumblr in writing communities and the young members of the communities are blown away when they find out some of their writing mentors are *gasp* In Their THIRTIES! Like, That's SOOOOO OLLLLLLLLLLLD!

She's done a good job of beating the tendency to actually refer to myself as an old man at 41 RIGHT out of me, but I still chuckle when I see one of THOSE reactions. Or my kids gasp LOUDLY that I watched a show 'WAY BACK IN 1980?!?!?! Did they even have COLOR back then?'
