I tried everything and it seems to not work now :(

The laptop screen goes off when I close the lid even when I set it not to do that.

Any solutions ?

This is Windows 10.

I don't want to keep the laptop open.

Also all of my applications continue to work even when the lid is closed.

In the Power Options, in the left pane, it says something like: Choose what happens when I close the lid.

Select the dropdown and select Do Nothing.

In the Power Options, also tell it to turn off the screen in about 15 minutes. Lastly, let's make sure it won't turn off the HDD or go into Sleep.

Select the first option in the list and make it 0.

Go to the Sleep option, change the second and fourth option to 0.

It's ok if the screen goes off. It shouldn't go into Sleep and turn off the HDD. Does it still do that?

My mistake, first and third option. I wasn't at the computer at the time.

It should work, even if the screen goes off. As long as the system doesn't go to sleep. At least, that's how it works with my laptop, just tried it. I set "Do Nothing" in the power options for closing the lid.
