I pray this will alleviate the horrible stutters I get from BFV since it's unplayable most of the time.  Had to switched to DX11 and that seems to have lessened them.

Also the new driver dumped the PX1 settings (front page). Fan curve was OK but not sure about the HWM as I stopped using those early on.

I installed these drivers this a.m. and noticed gefore experience was greyed out.  I installed anyway then after went and un-installed the GE.  As far as performance goes i noticed a bump in frame rates, about 15-20 @1440p.  I also noticed that i'm only using around 6gb of vram as opposed to 7.5 as before.  All in all good so far.

Does this driver update mainly benefit the Super cards or all Rtx cards?.....I read somewhere that the Super cards mainly had the best percentages in performance gains,,if so, then that's lame.

Oh, dang.

I guess to many complaints in the end was why.
Poor Testing on NVIDIA's Part or just plain lazy on the team that released this driver.
I did download it but do not plan on using it.

Well Thanks for the info sir......as my own personal rule of thumb, I usually wait about a week or so after a driver update has been launched before I bother to download....I like to see if multiple issues have surfaced in the forums or the YouTube channels; so far it has saved me some rage, lol.

Is Techpowerup a legit/safe source to download drivers from? I don't remember using them before. They have the drivers from earlier this morning. You just have to use the fix earlier in this thread, or uninstall Geforce Experience after the installation.

Update to my original post.  These drivers stutter and lag alot in bf5.  When you try to switch weapons or ADS the game will freeze for a couple seconds then continue.  Frame rates are up and VRAM usage is down but they do have some issues at least on my pc.  I'm running the game in DX12 and with RT on.

Yeah, I never installed from Techpowerup. I downloaded them, went for a run and now the Nvidia link is working. No point now, I will just get them from Nvidia! Thanks.

Bummer can't use integer scaling on my laptop.  That section is missing from the Nvidia control panel.

You know, Nvidia tied it to their latest GPU's only. Typical Nvidia move.

So far so good during gameplay with DX12 and RT back on @ ultra settings.    Slight stutters here and there but nothing like before.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

You're assuming he doesn't have a turing laptop.

you're also assuming its not a mshybrid setup (optimus)

Using Integer Scaling:
-Requires a Turing GPU (GeForce RTX 20 series/GeForce GTX 16 series) and Windows 10 April 2018 Update and above
-Integer Scaling is not supported in Surround mode, on tiled displays, with custom resolutions or when DSR is enabled
-Pixel formats supprted: RGB/YUV444/YUV422
-When the display has a different aspect ratio from the game, you will see black borders on the display.
-Integer Scaling is not supported In MSHybrid notebooks where the integrated graphics are managing the display properties

For years we have looked into ways we could bring Integer Scaling to Geforce users through a software approach but came up empty.  On previous GPUs, the scaling filters were completely baked into the hardware while Turing added some additional programmability that allowed us to implement a nearest neighbor filter as an additional option.  Thanks again for all of your suggestions.  We hope you will give the new driver a try and continue sharing your feedback with us.

Its literally hardware scaling, not a software hack.

Pascal can't do it because pascal doesn't have a integer capable scaler mode.

Re: Geforce Game Ready Driver xxx.xx (Placeholder for driver releasing Aug20) 2019/08/21 07:45:26 (permalink)
So ultra low latency mode is like turning future frame rendering completely off? If I recall, we used to be able to do this in the control panel. Basically, it would be like turning off the render ahead option in BFV. However, if you do with DX11 on, you get a pretty hefty drop in performance. Is this all correct?

EDIT: Tried out ultra low latency mode and it is pretty good actually. I haven't noticed any performance hit, if there is then it is pretty small and unnoticeable. It does reduce lag quite a bit. It is like turning on DX 12 on in BFV, the lowest latency way to play that game. However, there is no stutter like DX 12 in BFV. Overall, it is pretty good for FPS games.

does this expose display and gpu scaling types, or just display?

This is all it shows, everything else is handle by the Intel Graphics control panel.  Can't even change the display adapter in the bios.
