Anyone have feedback on these yet?  I was running 416.34 on my 1070 for about 10 days at the end of October and had to wipe them out with DDU etc a few days ago and go back to the last 3xx ones.  After about a week with them installed my monitors would stop waking up (computer not frozen though) and after a power off/on and checking the windows logs I found the Nvidia driver had decided to randomly start crashing but not recovering properly.  Started reading about the 4xx drivers having a lot of issues so I'm really hesitant to upgrade.  Thinking about waiting a couple more months unless I really need something in one of the updates.

How are your monitors connected? Did you do the display port update on your GPU's?

there is an increasing number of Displayport issues with the 416 drivers and their inability to completely resume from standby.

And Killing them as well, I have gone through 2 DP Cables now.
Owners are going to want to RMA their cards over this and it is NOT the Cards but the Cable and as posted above the Drivers.

the issues are occuring on known good cables from the likes of lindy and accell, screens can either fail to return when they go into standby or come back up garbled.

How to Choose a DisplayPort Cable, and Not Get a Bad One!
I use the Accell DP cables, no issue so far

One Cable was not but the other was and it was one of my Accell DP Cables.
This one, Accell B142C-010B-2 10ft UltraAV DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable with Locking Latches - 10 Feet (3 Meters)
(Accell is replacing my Cable)
This is the best cable to use if your Monitor supports it Accell Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable with Locking Latch - 3.3 Feet (1 Meter), Black, DP 1.2 supports 4K UHD, 1080p, and 3D video up to [link=mailto:2560x1600@60Hz]2560x1600@60Hz[/link]
Mini DisplayPort seems to work best and I have never had an issue with them, Monitor side that is.
Only the Full DP Port Seems to have issues on my Monitors. Walk up mostly.

What displayport update are you talking about?  I've been running the 1070 since last January and this was the first time I had a problem with it.  Both monitors are Displayport connected using the cables that came with them (Dell and Asus).

I have seen a few posts of people talking about having issues mostly with two or more monitors hooked up at the same time and the newer drivers that has caused them to roll back. So far though it's the first I heard about the cables being dead.

Ah ok, hmmm I'm not having any boot problems, but my displays are both DP 1.2 also supposedly and not 1.3/1.4.  Should I still run that tool just in case and for any future monitor purchases?  My problem was purely a resuming from monitor standby (not the whole PC just the monitors are set to shut off).  Both would not wake up and it's been resolved so far since reverting to a non-4xx driver.  Anyway, didn't mean to derail the original thread, oops.

I don't see there being anything signal wise that would fry a conductor, but there might be something they've changed with power states/signal timing where they are more sensitive to a defect in a cable. Some folks don't know that terminating an ethernet cable too far from the block, can cause bit errors.

I too have the Wake from Sleep issue but it was not limited to the 416 series , the best so far was 399.24 and it still isn't perfect .....

I have also on Sajin's advice in another thread, stopped using the Nvidia HD Audio Driver and let M$ install their own on reboot , and the problem is minimised but not gone.

( excuse the bold above  , no idea what i did but cant remove it)

Using Startech 10ft Certified DP Cables.....which they replaced under warranty ( lifetime) but the issue persists.

PS ....don't the 10 series Card get any love with a sticky about Driver Updates anymore....had to hunt this thread down....

Could that be tied to the original DP issues - https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2832050

To the peeps now having issues have you ran the update?

no, the flicker is in windows and once the display driver has assumed device control.  the flicker seems to be some oddity of the pixel clock when a hdmi and gsync display are connected,  the hdmi screen doesn't even need to be active.

I've run the update as of a couple nights ago, but as I mentioned above both my monitors are DP 1.2 not 1.3 or 1.4 so that shouldn't be the cause right?  Either way I'm staying on 399.24 for a bit.  Don't want to give the 4xx drivers another chance for a while unless I really need to for a specific game.

I am getting some wierd display flicker issues with the latest driver versions as well. For me, it is usually a small white line, sometimes a larger flicker. It reminds me of the 2560x1440 144Hz flicker issue that was happening a while back, yet this is not nearly as bad. I looked and previous drivers would not allow my card to fully downclock at this resolution an refresh rate. With the latest versions the card downclocks all the way. I am wondering if this is the cause for the occasional flicker that I see.

Edit: I have a single monitor at 2560x1440 144Hz.

Use 416.34 if you use SLI and play Battlefield V. Last 2 removed the SLI profile.

The game will not start and tell you must run Driver 416.94
At least on the RTX Cards.
