MY NVCP says the same. You Tube vid's are good for me. No problem and was never prompted to update flash.

Any improvement in BF3 people with GTX 670?

What was the issue?  I just installed a 670 FTW today after having a 470.  Haven't played BF3 in a couple months and never had issues before.  I only checked out BF3 for 10 minutes or so campaign and didn't notice anything, other than the fact I could play max settings!!

Won't install for me. Had to do a clean install back to the previous beta twice to get rid of the error code.

I'm still getting vsync issue with crysis and crysis 2.  With vsync off in crysis 2 I get between 60-70 fps.  With it on it drops me to 30-45.

These do much better than the previous Beta drivers.  I had to uninstall those.

This is with everything in my system running at stock speeds, except the memory is set at auto, so it's running at 1333 mhz.  No overclock.

BF3 in sli while capturing is better for me with this one.  BF3 full ultra, maxed everything and capturing with bandicam @ 60fps full 1080...very smooth.

Mixed results for me man. I'm stilling having an issue with my sleep resume. Sometimes it wakes right up and is fine, others the computer restarts itself and when it resumes Windows, it takes it forever to let me actually do anything in the OS.

Just downloading this now. The 304.48 allowed to me to play Portal and Skyrim, but completely mucked up Call of Pripyat. Fingers crossed the new beta will fix this. I've got a 4Gb GTX670 so I think they're still figuring a few things out.
Update: Everything crashes now! Skyrim, Call of Pripyat, Portal 1 and 2.... Think I'll roll back until the next full release comes out.

Please try TROPICS benchmark with these drivers and then with 301.XX drivers and see the difference!

For a better test, run both benchmarks at HIGH priority.

Just benchmarked in Heaven v3.0 with the new 304.79 driver, and the last full release, 301.42.
At the highest settings available I got:

304.79: 744
301.41: 748

So no difference really, just none of my games like the new beta at the moment.

680 FTW in SLI.

So far, I haven't encountered any severe problems yet with this set of drivers. BF3, SR3, and T:A all worked fine. Gonna try MP3, Arkham City, and a few other games in a bit here.

EDIT: Whoops. For some reason, it didn't quote. For me, the flash player has a green flicker when I watch a youtube vid with Hardware Acceleration enabled.

So it looks like this driver still doesn't fix the S3 Sleep resume problem that the 680/670 have?

Re:GeForce 304.79 BETA Driver Released 2012/07/04 18:42:08 (permalink)
i installed this driver over the non beta ones, and it ran like crap the first time. I was getting more stutter than before, benchmarks were way different.  Previous drivers I was getting 16min/63max, now I get 8min/74 max.  Higher max but low min. I completely blew the drivers away and then did another clean install and now everything is fine and back to normal.  benches are still about the same for me though, which is fine.  I think this driver has some issue over installing.

Tropics benchmarks:
EVGA GTX670 4Gb, highest settings available.
301.42 (last full release) 1211
304.79 (latest beta) 1204
Still no difference!

Years ago, I used to bench every time I got a new driver just for comparison. I should probably start doing that again. Simply getting a feel for it in a game or two some times is misleading as games have patches applied that may also affect performance etc.

Stop with the unboxing videos already, it is this generations "mullet hair cut".

While I can see where you are coming from...

...surely, the only metric that matters is "the game seems to play and look better (or worse) now than it did before", no?

IE., if the games show a felt improvement...what does it matter what the benchmarks show?

Yes I agree, to an extent. It is the nerd in me speaking so pay no attention.

Sometimes there are games I may not play for some time so comparing before and after driver may be hard to do.  Likewise, each game is unique and will perform different (most likely) than the benchmark tool. And this is part of the reason I had stopped benching. The results were only good for the benchmark and not much else. Thank you for reminding me why I do not bench anymore. You have saved me some time by jogging my memory

Stop with the unboxing videos already, it is this generations "mullet hair cut".

Well with these drivers I'm getting well over 120 fps in BF3 on Ultra, 2x AA, 2x AF, and SSAO on my 690. Still messing with it, even used 4x AA and was still getting over 100 fps. Downloading Shogun 2 and SKyrim, so hope those two work fine.

I will either find a way, or make one.

Shogun 2 works fine, testing out Skyrim now. I did a fresh install on windows and everything else as a fyi.

Skyrim works nicely.
