What I am now wondering is if Shipping might be delayed since the pipeline is a temporary shutdown causing a spike in costs. Hopefully shipping companies are able to avoid the spike that consumers are seeing.

Here in Canada, I expect the gas price to go up to 1.6 a liter when Summer arrive. With the ransomware attack in the U.S, I would expect the gas price to go up soon here as well.

Some places in my area were going for as high as $7 per gallon today. I'm hoping someone reported them to the state attorney general. I suspect by this summer, we will see $5 a gallon easily for most of the US.

Yup. I just filled up my Daytona, $75 for a full tank and I only get 160 miles on a full tank. SMH... we were doing so well.

since fossil fuels are not an infinite resource, i think the prices will go up sooner or later (over an extremely long period of time)

I think with electric cars becoming more popular, gas prices won't get too crazy. If they go up too much, then more people will make the swap, and demand will go down.

Gas is $4.50-$5.00 in California right now and it's not even summer yet. There will be another additional increase from that "special clean burning California blend."

Last I saw was around 3.50 for costco gas here in the Bay Area, CA. I work from home so thankfully driving isn't an issue.
EV owners are certainly laughing at our faces lol

In NY it's creeping near $4 mind u I have a 5.3 L v8 which drinks gas like it's nothing. Def not worth driving anywhere far.
