Chaos_21, GoT (Game of Thrones) is kinda like Lord of the Rings with lots of backstabbing (everyone wants to be King of the 7 realms), sex, torture, revenge, dragons, Night Walkers (dead people that want to kill the living) and more.
Written by J.R.R. Martian (Ice and Fire series).
Here is a link to the back story before Ice and Fire written by fans, very interesting and in audio.

well, watched the first episode of season 8 tonight.  I have to say, nicely done.  I'm glad some important information about John Snow didn't get put off and dragged out.   But it was nice to see the episode.  Have to admit, I was giddy about seeing it after it's been so long after season 7.   Cant wait to see how it all unfolds.   Probably buy the series on bluray some day and watch it all again.  It's worth it if you haven't seen it.

Hopefully they bring in the black sheep of the Stark family. It’s time we see Tony! He would like the Iron Throne.

It's a Fantasy soap opera with the same level of nonsense + frozen zombies and dragons.

My biggest disappointment so far this season is I thought all the episodes were supposed to be like 90ish minutes they were talking about feature length episodes since there were only six.  That doesn't seem to be the case, 60 minutes, 50 something next week.  Saw an article they're between 50-82 minutes :(

Probably just a conclusion to the whole series to wrap it all up.  Had there been future seasons, probably as you had hoped.

cannot believe last night.  WOW>   Don't want to spoil anything but I was amazed by the episode.     I did a look up of who was lost after battle, not to bad.  Also watched previews for next week.    This has turned out to be one of the best series I've ever watched.

I kept yelling at the screen until the end. After that I was just yelling. I kept yelling "Bran, do something...why are you even here, Bran...damn, Bran, you think you can give a hand."  Crazy good episode.

I was wondering what the flock was doing. I question now, Can he see the future, now? Can he control people now? What is the relationship between "No One" and "The Raven"? Can't really explain what my brain went threw last night.

The flock is a way for him to project into flight and see his surroundings.  As far as seeing the future, yes through dreams.  I think that's why the valerian dagger came to be where it is because of this.   "no one"  was Aria training with the faceless man.  Essentially, you loose your identity to become faceless and become anyone you want.    The Raven is a human with magical abilities to see future and past events and oversee the children of the forest.    Different things.

    Starbucks was the sponsor lol.

I am not responsible for your feelings if you haven’t seen the episode and click the spoiler button below. My thoughts are in there though.

Seriously, it’s on your if you open the next level!

I am building in a buffer of space before you read this!!!

    Spoiler

Also, I was not impressed with episode 4. I wanted to see more, and I did not want to see the “splashdown” scene. They pulled a real George RR Martin move with that one. For real, how did they know how to aim perfectly with those crossbows? Did they practice on ravens or something?

The show is getting stupid with character build up and sudden ending without any reason. After the battle of 14 thousand zombies versus 10 main characters that are immortal, I find the slow crawl of episode 4 to be mundane and boring.

I don’t think Dany was too bright to show her true colors and her jealousy finding out that Jon/Aegon has proper claim compared to her. I did suspect that Jon would do the right thing and inform Arya and Sansa, and I figured Sansa would immediately spill the beans to someone, and I am not at all surprised the Varys would play his old self and immediately try to sway someone to go against her.

I also despise that grey worm is so fragile and easy to upset now. He was meant to be emotionless on purpose.
